Recently, Bill did one of his Resist! posts with the phrase “Bigger Than Me.” I think that’s an awesome slogan. Anyone disagree?
I can see it in shirts and bumper stickers with patriotic stuff in it. I can see people asking about it. I can see it as the official billwhittle.com slogan.

He also said that resist was passive aggressive and that he regretted it, and I agree with him. I prefer I will not comply or I will not stand down.
One of the key principles behind the idea of America is that the individual is sovereign. “Bigger than me” suggests that there is something that supersedes the individual and that is sovereign because the individual is subservient to it.
That’s collectivism. It leads to socialism and all the rot we’re fighting.
So, no, I don’t like “bigger than me” as a slogan.
I guess perspective, I see and agree with you except when I read it my thought was “I am second” or God is first. Bigger than me sounds like we are overwhelmed, not committed,
When it comes to having a society here on earth, no reference to a god is necessary or desirable. Answer a simple question: Of the hundreds of different religions in the world, how do you know yours is the right one?
It’s not possible to get everyone to agree on an answer to that question. Therefore, religion must be left out of organizing a society here on earth. That’s why we have the First Amendment, so that religion is never dictated by government. That is, government must take no cognizance of religion to accomplish its tasks.
It is possible to define all the proper purposes of government with no reference to religion whatsoever. (Note that the Constitution says nothing at all about religion except that government must not get involved. That’s a feature, not a bug.) I’m working on a document that largely does exactly that. An initial draft will be out soon.
Ok, what do you like? I’m looking for something that resonates with the Left.
I haven’t given a slogan any thought but MB2A should probably have one. Although, I like the idea of just using “MB2A” all by itself. Imagine it spray-painted on a train car or city building. Viral marketing. An air of mystery might be good for us.
I’ll have to think on it.
We can easily have t-shirts made at Vista Print. Also, the design can be loaded onto Cafe Press and then we can have it printed on just about anything. Any typesetters or graphic artists in this crowd?
My personal favorite of Bill’s comments has been, “ We are not just angry, we are incandescent. I think INCANDESCENT says it all. I was thinking of putting it on T-shirt for myself. Because to me, it means lit, on fire, ready to go!
