Paid Off or Threatened, Pick Your Take

I’m 79 years young and my gut feelings have run in the 90 percent range throughout my life. It is my gut that is telling me that for the last four years I’ve watched people that I have had the highest respect for begin to lean away from their prior beliefs and I feel they must have either been paid off or had themselves or family members threatened.

I have a solution how to stop it if it is going on and I’m sure it is. Do any of you have gut feeling like mine? Lets talk.

I live in a red county and my town is tiny (pop 720). During the campaign, there was an overwhelming number of Biden/Harris signs in town, mostly displayed by people who bought second homes here to escape the Washington/Baltimore/Philadelphia urban insanity and the dreaded COVID….they cannot vote here, thank goodness, but you can spot them a mile away: rude, demanding, and often condescending. Teslas and Range Rovers abound here where pickups and the occasional Volvo used to dominate.
My gut? The political force of this wave of changing cultural norms by the progressive /socialist left is not unlike the wave of immigration we saw in Europe, bringing in Islamist ideology that seeks to undermine, and conquer, cultural and ethnic norms — in France, Germany, Sweden, and other nations we witness the destabilization of centuries of cultural stability. No Go Zones are an abomination.
But here, in the USA, the left is talking about “truth and reconciliation commissions.” That’s all you need to know about the Progressive left today.

So sorry David. I have been busy in many other area’s and this is the first time I have returned to this site since I posted. Thank you for asking my solution. Probably difficult to get past congress because none of them want to police themselves. If they pass a bill that requires every congress person and senator must take a polygraph test excluding any personal questions but the same questions for each and everyone of them. Such questions like the following: Have you or any member of your family been threatened or promised any monitary gifts in since you have taken office, Yes or No?
I realize that these tests are not a hundred percent but they are accurate enough to have the cream rise to the surface and dive deeper to find the source of who approached them.
The way it is now example: Lets say you are a congressman getting into an empty elevator and a man in a trench coat enters behind you and hits the close door button and hits stop as the elevator moves. The person flashes some grusome photo’s of a small child with a very deformed face and tells you unless you support this or that decision this could be your son, daughter or grandson or granddaughter. So what do you do? I know what I would do, I would do what was suggested by Mr. Trench Coat. BUT, if you and all politicians were forced to take the Poly Test you wouldn’t be held accountable to Mr. Trench Coat as you didn’t have a choice. Plus Mr. Trench Coat and his leaders may get caught as more and more of the tests lead back to the same sources as others.
I’m not sure if I have explained this very well but I thank you for asking and look forward to your thoughts?

I have the same “gut” feeling as well. Something isn’t right about all of this. It seems like most of the billionaires in this country are democrats, and the way things have been going as of late, some one has to be funding all of the protests and rioting. If you look at the people involved in all of this, do you really think that they’re really “normal americans” with real jobs who are just doing this in their spare time?

I think a lot of people are simply not willing to admit their political opinions in this climate. They don’t want to be cancelled, lose their job or lose clients, get harrassed by Democrats running their local or state services, etc.

That’s ordinary people, though. Anyone who is rich enough or well-known enough to be considered an influencer may indeed be susceptible to blackmail and payoffs.

IMO that’s one of President Trump’s strengths: he is not bribable, not corruptible in that sense. He doesn’t need the money and he doesn’t give a darn what anyone says about him.

I appreciate it so much that you read my post Laura that was my first one ever I have a lot on my mind but I would like to express in a lot of ideas that I’d like to share I just need someone to listen thank you again for listening and God bless you and yours

I am too lazy to make my own posts, so I just comment on everyone else’s! 🙂

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
