As I write this, Parler is still down and Trump’s Twitter is still banned. The left seems eager, giddy even, at the prospect of canceling anyone who disagrees with them, or who hasn’t reached the bottom of their purity spiral yet.
If we want to have free speech at all, we’re going to need our own infrastructure. But, our side seems not to be as good at building that infrastructure as the left is. This place is great but we need more like it. Freedom of the press is limited to those who have a press. And so:
I’ve been earning my living as a professional software developer for over twenty years. People I’ve taught things to have told me I’m a good teacher. As for the progressives, they’re parasites. They don’t so much build things as ‘occupy’ them. We should build our own resources — but we should also retake the town commons and evict the squatters.
