Ya kinda wonder if this was an outside hacker group the broke in and got the data out, or some Fed that leaked it from the inside. With the total collapse of the Witmer kidnapping case with half the people being on the FBI payroll and apparently involved in the planning stages followed by the clumbsy Jan 6 followup events and the numerous “foiled plots” that were obviously never going to happen without the help of the “friendly insider” stringing the “jihaadi” along and providing the fake bomb he could not have gotten realistically anywhere else… On the one hand nutjobs can still be dangerous in large groups, while on the other, they might only be a threat to the Republic if they get help from Antifa.
Patriot Front and it’s schizophrenic sister Vanguard America are very real organizations full of very real and stupid but dangerous people. They are our albatross around our necks the same way that ANTIFA is to the Democrats. The difference being one side is being fed encouragement to make the Right look bad and the other side is being fed intelligence and tactical information to make their efforts more effective.
It’s true that any group like Patriot Front is going to be riddled with Federal CI’s and operatives. That’s nothing new and sometimes it’s a good thing. A very good thing. Historically those efforts have been highly successful at thwarting acts of terrorism and in bringing those who committed such things to justice.
There was a time in this nation when Leftist Loonies would be treated the same as Right Wingnuts by Federal Law Enforcement and Intelligence agencies. That time was back when the purpose of infiltrating such groups was a matter of protecting American Citizens and serving the spirit of the law.
Somehow that purpose has morphed into something much more sinister. Now those groups, both on the Right and on the Left, are being manipulated rather than just quietly observed and monitored for illegal activity.
This is a sort of gray area in the law. An officer, agent, informant or operative may monitor and report activities by such groups but … It’s highly illegal for them to suggest or abet actual unlawful acts. Traditionally and correctly doing so takes such people off the side of right and legal and puts them squarely on the side of wrong and illegal. Where they are subject to prosecution no matter who they are or what entity they work for.
That’s always where the line has been drawn and it’s a simple one. The good guys follow the rules and make the best of things that they can, the bad guys have no rules and seize any opportunity they can. If you don’t follow the rules, you’re a bad guy. If you don’t follow the rules and you’re a sworn officer or agent you’re a bad guy with a badge and a gun.
This is why the Rule of Law is so important. This is why people like Joe Biden, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Hunter Biden and all the rest must be held accountable to the same laws as everyone else. Because selective law enforcement is a slippery slope, one of the slipperiest of slopes in fact.
If it’s OK for Hillary to break the law, if it’s OK for the FBI to make up crap about a duly elected President and attempt to stage a soft coup, there’s really nothing that isn’t OK anymore. It doesn’t depend on the law, it depends on who is doing the lawbreaking. If you have the proper friends and you’re acting in a manner they approve of, you can do anything you want to without facing any consequences.
This destroys the Rule of Law, it smashes it to bits. That’s the only protection legally speaking that you and I have against powerful people with asperations to tyranny. If we can’t get a handle on this it will be the end of personal liberty in America.
