So these idiots mean to tell us that we should all bow down to the American Indians (without us which they would have no freedom to enjoy their tax-free reservations) who contributed a grand total of 200 soldiers, at least in this instance, to the fight?
I don’t think so. Not on my worst day, and even then I’d die first.
Oh and by the way, their claim that American Indians were so “distressed” that the Cleveland Indians and Washington Redskins dared to present them as a brave, fighting force rested on the vague, unrepeatable results of a “study” whereby a handful of Indians were read a handful words and asked to say if they felt the words made them feel bad. They had to repeat the study twice to get the social justice results they wanted.

Did you look at all the fat people on that stage in that first URL? They do not look “distressed” in the least. They are, indeed, very well fed and clothed.
I know right? Their oppression obviously doesn’t involve a surplus of food. The prisoners of North Korea would laugh if they had the energy and the freedom.
I grew up in Central British Columbia, and I recall the local Indian tribes being nothing but a blight upon the surrounding communities with their perpetually-claimed victimhood and soft terrorism (soft, since nobody died — just public property damage). I have no sympathy for this sort of behavior and claims of oppression.

While I’m annoyed that the Redskins caved & dropped their team name, I haven’t called them that in ages. For the last 30 years I’ve been calling them “The Foreskins”. I was an eagles fan for decades until the league decided it didn’t want me as a fan anymore
While I love my Brownies, I throw vigorous support behind my adopted Eagles. I attended an Eagles game in the late 80’s. An unfortunate Foreskins fan was sitting below us in the 700 level. Need I say more?

I just went through it again tonight for the 1st time in a while (and made an update at the top of the post) and… damn. The best way to describe what I felt was like looking through an old photo album and seeing a bunch of pics of yourself and an ex who was insanely cool at the time but you wound up having to dump because she changed & went full psycho. You wish things didn’t have to end the way they did but know that moving on was the right thing to do. I clicked one of the links in my post that went to the NFL’s web site and saw in one corner of the page the NFL’s Pride Month rainbow logo.
Today we also did some house cleaning and while going through our basement closet where my ten NFL jerseys hang I mentioned to Sister Babe that I can probably move them to the back corner of the closet given how they’re not getting worn anymore. I’m not getting rid of them though in hopes that the next comissioner makes things right. *sigh*
