The above quote, from a friend of mine – although, maybe not for much longer (his choice) – perfectly illustrates what is wrong with Twenty-First Century America. We’ve been SO safe for SO long, that we’ve gotten soft. We’ve gotten indolent. We’ve gotten cowardly. The truth of the matter is, it’s NOT safe to go to the Mall. IT NEVER HAS BEEN. Life is Dangerous. It always has been. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow. I want to state that Terry isn’t a Beta Male Pajama Boy. He’s a wrestler and writer and all-around good guy. But, he is a Leftist, and as such, will and does oppose anything that he thinks leans Right.
I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating; there are only two types of Leftists, or Liberals, or Progressives, or Democrats, or Socialists, or Communists (all of the above are interchangeable)…those who want to rule, and those who want to be ruled. Self-determination has ALWAYS been a minority concept. The idea of Self-Governance is antithetical to the HERD. They want to be told what to do. They want to be ruled by “The Experts”. You know who they are, the small Elite of people, morally and intellectually superior to us, the Plebes. The Fauci’s, Birx’s and Whitmers of the world. And let’s not forget the Brain Trust that is Pelosi’s Coronavirus Oversight Committee. Any time the President or anyone else talks about getting things moving again, along comes Fauci to say no. We MUST stay closed down. And one questions Saint Anthony of Fauci at their peril.
Damn it, am I the only one? Am I the Last American? Molon Labe. Fight, damn you, fight. Our backs are against the wall. We’ll never be safe. How much Liberty are we willing to sacrifice in order to FEEL safe? Goddamnit, let me die free. THIS is what it means to be an American Patriot. To love Liberty more than Life. To be willing to sacrifice everything that you have, so that all men can be free.
Of course, I’m not alone. It’s just that I look at my social media feed, and watch/read/listen to the news, and see more tyranny and more meek acquiesce to it, and I get discouraged and frustrated and angry. Since when are Americans passive? Since when do we roll over? Since when do we just take it? Spirit of 1776! Government for, by and of the People!
Here’s the thing; I’m a writer. I’m in the persuasion business. Words are my tools and my weapons. Forums such as this are my battlefield. I am a Knight. A Samurai. I won’t shirk my duty or obligation. I’m gonna keep fighting the Good Fight. I will NOT comply. I will NOT roll over. I WILL resist tyranny. I’m an AMERICAN.
