Progressive Code: Branding Christians When Someone Blows Them Up

Because Christians can’t be viewed as victims, and must be seen as oppressors, Progressives brand them “Easter worshippers” in the wake of the the horrific church bombings in Sri Lanka. What are the roots of this apparently-coordinated verbal attack on the English language, and on the followers of Christ, by Leftwing political leaders?

Gentlemen, I am respectfully begging…..Please make this public! Y’all have made stellar points, and I am chomping at the bit to share them.

Please?

So here is a real idea, if only to keep you, Friday and myself from having to type the same thing over and over.

Instead of Member’s Only content, how about a brief embargo. Since BWN content is topical and therefore has a shelf life (except for some of the Firewall / Afterburner / What we believe – I know don’t Pounce;-) ) how about a one week or even two or three day Embargo period instead of a full out only members can see.

Keep the Blog as only Members can post. But make all other content available at least eventually, and within a week.

Thoughts… BB / Friday / Everyone / Anyone / Beuller?

Yes!!! I agree, Ralph! Ideas are meant to be shared. Especially these ideas, during these times.

I know that Bill is trying to keep a business model going by trying to tempt people with some great content behind the paywall. I get that. I think it’s a dichotomy…Bill is trying to build a business, and we just want to share the fantastic wealth of ideas these gentlemen create. If Bill keeps giving away the milk for free, however, the cows will starve because the farmer won’t be able to buy food. Then there’s no more milk.

I get it, yet I don’t want to get it. My mantra is “Milk for everyone!”

P.S. Before I even saw your post, I posted a plea up above. You, me and BB. Great minds and all that!

That’s why a brief embargo works in my warped mind. We get it first, but it all still gets out there. Except backstage, that’s all ours. Maybe one day they will really hit record right when they start and we’ll hear the really good stuff.

I think having just the Backstage as Members Only would be appropriate. We get to share all of the great stuff, while a little bit of red meat gets thrown out to the paying members.

They released it to the wild, you guys! It’s FREEEEE! Share until your fingers can’t click anymore! Ha!

Thank you Powers That Be! (heart emoji placeholder)

This is also kind of like how the word “Patriotism” has seemingly been scrubbed from the lexicon as of around November 2016 and replaced with “Nationalism”, sometimes preceded by the unspoken “White”.
What makes me really sick is when the Vichy Conservatives play right along with the use of that term – National Review is among the worst offenders

Steve gets it really right about the Journo-List thing, and how it was ALL of these left-wing jerks ALL came out using the VERY SAME talking-point thing all at once, within HOURS… it’s almost like they’re highly organized and doing all of this INTENTIONALLY.

I would really love it if we could get Steve’s audio issues sorted out… maybe use some of that Membership money to get him a nice condenser microphone?

I don’t know, I’m kind of glad that Maxwell Smart’s old Cone of Silence is finding some use today

That’d be a funny skit to open a member’s only with. Obviously Bill would have to the Chief, Steve already has the echo so he’d be 86. I’m afraid that means Scott has to be Larraby outside the cone so he can shout at Steve when he says “What? What’d you say Chief?”

He could do Hymie except I don’t recall Hymie ever yelling. He’d have to audition for 99, I don’t think he’s got the acting chops to pull off leggy brunette.

Because you BELIEVE does not make it so. Even so, I would not use force or threats to make you stop believing. To believe without evidence or even a shadow of proof is your right. I agree, that to call the murdered Christians “Easter worshipers” is a misdirection of the highest order. They BELIEVED deeply in their religion and paid for it with their lives. Specifically at the hands of inhuman monsters. They did not, in any way, deserve that treatment.

I don’t believe until there is sufficient evidence to believe. IN that case, I call it knowledge rather than belief. This is because I can show and demonstrate the evidence. Lacking that, I remain unconvinced that any God exists or any Son of God died to save us from our sins. Sins that were committed by a fictional first man called Adam and mythically passed down to us without our being guilty of them in any way shape or form.

The so called sin was the acquisition of knowledge. The acquisition of knowledge is necessary for us to live on earth. Without it, we will not be able to act and soon will die. Our so called sin was and is the passionate desire to LIVE. If that be my sin, I will gladly burn in that fictional everlasting fire that is said to be reserved by that mythical God, in whom I don’t believe, and who has not earned my worship.

I don’t think your belief or lack there-of matters much in this situation. It is the beliefs of others that caused actions. Christians believe in doing things for their fellow man (humans if you’re picky) and built schools and churches and many other good things.

Muslims have done some good things as well, but as a whole have not spoken out against those that claim to be Muslim and claim that Islam calls them to kill those that are not Muslim, and then also kill fellow Muslims for not submitting to the will of Allah as they believe all should do.

Others believe that the state is god and should take care of all, and that they, being the true believers should have an elevated status as saints in this church of state/Gaia/humanity and if you do not follow along, will kill you as well.

Some left overs are still stuck on old beliefs that one kind is better than another or that one kind belongs here and another kind belongs there and seek to enforce their beliefs by themselves or in small groups, not finding enough fellow believers to make an actual movement or cause.

These all are people driven by a belief in something outside and greater than themselves. That Journo-List still exists and can operate as a priestly message board to true believers is anathema to a free and fair press, or just evidence that much of the political press is a bunch of incompetent stooges that are 27 years old and literally know nothing, as described by one who would have reason to know.

As an aside, many Christians do believe there is evidence, that much of what we know is eye witness testimony passed down from people who were at the events. Our belief is as much in the testimony as in the events. As Scott mentioned backstage, we were originally called Wayists – followers of the Way, and only later named for the title of the One we follow.

All the so called evidence you give is is evidence of belief and no where close to evidence for existence. I have no problem with knowing that people believe. I simply have a problem with calling that belief: knowledge.
