In case the AOC Milton Keynes comment ends up in the mix. The “economist Milton Keynes” is a libertarian meme. Milton Keynes is a planned town north west of London with both the greatest wealth and greatest poverty in southern England outside London. The quote is not from John Maynard Keynes or Milton Friedman. Its from one of the town’s 1960’s advocates.
Her timing is perfect. The British government has just set up a 200 bed Corona-virus quarantine centre in the convention centre in the town. The town is up in arms and it was the top news item on google for Milton Keynes when she said it on Instagram. Thousands of her supporters googled it and found out there a pandemic on the way.

You have to be very smart to play that dumb!

I am surprised that a Backstage was necessary this week! I had assumed the sheer volume of news from the Liberal party would have filled your hoppers for weeks. LOL

Lieawatha’s campaign has officially entered its Trail of Tears phase. Buttigieg proceeds to South Carolina for his campaign’s Custer’s Last Stand moment. What would the Democrats do without Native American memes.

The reason you cannot identify any of these demo candidates who you like is that they are all deplorable and inherently evil. They remind me of the ugly extras in the bar scene in the movie From Dusk ’til Dawn — just wait until the masks are actually removed.

The weird thing about that movie is that I was enjoying it until that scene, and then it just went downhill quickly. Bizarre, since the very gimmick of the movie is what ended up ruining it.
Then again, a movie has nowhere to go but down after a Salma Hayek striptease…

Fighting off pirates with coconuts? I thought that “Sneak attacks, repel down the rocks behind the lines” was a feature of Dave Mustaine’s Megadeth cruise?

Scott, if you do the piece on architecture that would be a good candidate for my idea of releasing a non political video on a Saturday morning. We wouldn’t be losing out on content since there would still be a BWN each week day. And yes, I’ll keep suggesting this but I won’t be as much of a pain in the keister as I was over opening up the Member Only content =8^)

Steve, I randomly read The Emperor’s General a few years ago – great book! I loved how MacArthur was one of the main minor characters.

And it also taught the important life lesson to tread carefully around a father-in-law who carries a banana knife…

Wait a minute Bill – your episode is going to be a general discussion of various topics? Sort of like a… LIGHTNING ROUND!!!

Steve, no need to file for copyright infringement – imitation is the highest for of flattery!

Of course, when talking about any Democrat who pretends to run as a moderate while planning on inflicting a Marxist agenda (Obama, the Virginia state legislature, etc), a Lurker would make an excellent icon

True, though any burrowing unit would work to represent them. For some reason, the mindless, massed, zergling comes to mind, and all of the locust jokes. Come to think of it, the zerg faction seems perfect, with an overmind, overlords providing control and all of the voracious ugly critters that make up the swarm. The infestation ability of queens certainly explains how otherwise conservative institutions and upstanding representatives eventually succumb to the mindless behemoth.

I guess that makes us the wiser though lower in number and stronger in purpose Protoss, allying with the Terrans.

Wow, hadn’t thought that analogy through but the Zerg analogy for today’s left is perfect! The Zerglings are like and Antifa mob, the Overlords the MSM, and Kerrigan is a perfect example of how Leftism can take a beautiful, intelligent and capable woman and turn her into a hateful, disgusting creature!
We could probably go all day with the comparisons…

Tucker Carlson used a section of his show last night on this exact topic. Very interesting! Brutalism is the perfect word to describe the nihilistic, tasteless, monotonous, unimaginative, dehumanizing elements of these structures.

On the architecture item, should we start a pool on the date of the first comparison to Hitler/Speer and Germania? Oh, who am I kidding, it’s probably already happened.
