Right Angle: Backstage (09-01-2020)

With a bit more than two months before the 2020 election, the anticipation in the Right Angle Backstage zone is palpable. If you’re not willing to palp it, allow Bill Whittle, Scott Ott and Stephen Green to palp it for you.

Thank you, our gracious Members, for making this disgorging of the clown car possible.

That would be Scott. If you have read any of his satire, go to Scrappleface (dot) com he doesn’t post much anymore, too busy here.

The left want to use mail-in ballot tricks to win the election with homeland security breathing down their necks, whistle-blowers [ cheesed off Bernie boys] openly talking about how its done it & all the worlds electoral commissions pointing and laughing. They are doomed. He bible talks about God hardening people hearts and blinding them to the danger of their actions. That’s what we are seeing.

That may be the best thing about the parliamentary system compared to ours.

Maybe we could pass a constitutional amendment forbidding anyone to talk about the next election until six weeks before it.

Nice to see you, Wesley, hope you weren’t missing for a while because you’d been locked up in a quarantine or re-education camp or something.

Those scooters are a menace. Both to the riders and pedestrians and they are just in the way.
Surprised local folks would ban them though. Market should take care of it as they get destroyed and the price to ride goes up due to this. Nobody will want to use them anymore. Self correcting problem.

I pointed out to my daughter just as she went back to college that the Ottoman empire still had legal slavery into the 20th century. It was one of the reasons one of her grandparents fled Poland, as they were kidnapping girls off the farms to be in the Harem. The woke squad will surely say that that was America’s fault.

Nah, anything done by Arabs, or anyone they can claim as such, is either ignored, multicultural (and thus cannot be criticized because it isn’t our culture) or claimed as racist to criticize.
I’d just ask if someone telling me not to evil slavers would like to volunteer.

Have you guys seen One Wheel? It’s a skate board w/ a giant off-road wheel in the middle. First saw the thing at SXSW a couple years ago. Looks really cool. But I’ve gone to their website and the thing is ‘spensive.
Also, those scooters were all around N.Austin a year or two ago. Then summer came and they all went away. And never came back.

Bill mentioning what Harris looks like in all her pix reminded me of an observation I made a few years ago: ever since he lost weight, Al Sharpton always looks like a Pez dispenser.

I hate the Seattle Seahawks. Not because I actually hate them – I’ve reached an age where I know that actual hatred of sports teams is silly. (Except for the Pitt Panthers.) I hate the Seahawks because it’s fun to have a team to hate.

I picked the Seahawks because ever since they came into the league in the 70s they’ve had the ugliest uniforms in the league. Nothing against them, I just hate them. And Pete Carroll is what millenials want to be when they grow up. Which is sad.

I’ve hated the Dallas Cowboys all my life. And, to a lesser extent, the Pittsburgh Steelers. (Yes, I was a Houston Oilers fan.)

Also, I have no idea who Pete Carroll is. Assuming he has something to do with football. Did the Oilers move someplace?

The Houston Oilers went and change to the Tennessee Oilers (96-97) then to the Tennessee Titans in 1999. Houston has the Texans now since 2002 I think.

Carroll was coach of the Seattle Seahawks last I knew. Might explain some of his position.

Pete Carroll is the coach of the Seattle Seahawks. Therefore I hate him.

His head coaching gigs have been (in chronological order): New York Jets,New England Patriots, USC Trojans, Seattle Seahawks.
