Steve and Bill are right, physical media all the way. I locally download anything that I really like off YouTube also because you can’t rely on it to still be there in a week.

Of course those cis males know how to fix plumbing. They understand that there only exists male and female, and they understand how they connect.

I became a member last December when Bill looked all of us in the eye and told us what he does costs money and he needs our help.

I became a paying member the next day.

And in all that time I never came to the site or watched the Backstage show.

Until today.

I had no idea what I was missing.

They are great and I can’t believe I became a member but never took full advantage of it.

I won’t be making that mistake in the future.

Amazingly enough I’m in exactly the same situation, I’ve poked my head into the forums to comment on a few things before but this was my first backstage show. It certainly won’t be my last. Getting my monthly notification that I’ve paid for my membership is the only monthly expense that I have ever had that makes me smile.
Thanks Gents.

Ah, my vague memory from organic chemistry wasn’t entirely off. Is this the boat vs. chair in a ring?

cis (definition) – a prefix meaning “on the same side of,” referring to the alignment of one’s gender identity with one’s sex assigned at birth (cisgender; cissexual).ORIGIN OF CIS-
From Latin cis (adverb and preposition) “on this side, on this side of, within”

I don’t know about you, but my sex was not ASSIGNED at birth, nor any other time! It was programmed into me genetically as I gestated in a womb!
To quote the singer, “I was born this way.”

Why not? Then the fittings won’t fit at all and no water can be conveyed through the plumbing. Plumbing then becomes downstream of culture.

The only thing that worries me is how I’m going to find the right fittings at Home Depot.

Actually, attempts to convey water through the plumbing will result in everything being downstream of plumbing.

After all the aid we gave to Afghanistan, the farmers would grow opium poppies instead of food because they can sell opium for money to buy their food and do less manual labor in the process. These people should starve.

When Bill mentioned the irony of the leftist beliefs, I was reminded of a quote from Jack Nicholson. He said “My mother never saw the irony in her calling me a ‘son of a bitch'”!

I work in interstate trucking as a 3rd party logistics coordinator, in every state and in Canada. Steve’s not precisely right about owner operator truckers not able to work in California. All those independent truckers in CA have to do is incorporate and pay themselves above minimum wage, which isn’t hard to do. What California did about trucks in the ports is to make the requirements to go in and out of the ports too expensive for most truckers to want to participate. Before this law (The Clean Truck Program 2008) went into effect, any trucker could go into the port of Long Beach (eg). Still, most didn’t want to, because the port facilities did not operate any forklift services. If you were picking up cargo, and not just a loaded container onto a chassis (which is faster by a bit), you needed an appt to get into the port, then you had to make an appt in advance with an outside forklift service who was operating inside the port. If you stood in line too long getting into the port, and then missed the fork lift appt, too bad, so sad. Maybe they’d load you after everyone else was done. So, when the government decided to be protectionist through their Clean Truck Program, and keep all the port business reserved for locals, (who were union and paid for all the environmental upgrades to their trucks), the number of reloading warehouses expanded. Now, the local trucks pickup from the port and take the cargo to a reload. Then the over-the-road driver picks from the reload facility. The OTR drivers love this. There was outcry at first because OTR drivers thought they’d be losing business, but they got over that quickly when they no longer had to fuss with the ports. California doesn’t have enough drivers to get cargo from the ports, and it doesn’t have enough over the road drivers, much less that are willing to deal with the ports and their issues. I don’t think letting over the road drivers pick from the port is going to solve anything. There isn’t a list of trucks waiting for Long Beach or any other port facility to let them back in.

Part of the scarcity and backup is by design – you just laid out how easy it would be for the Feds to impose solutions on states. Since their economic ideas aren’t working because reality has an anti-Leftist bias and they can’t accept that, the logical step is to make things worse and assign a scapegoat. In this case the unvaxxed are being pushed into the role of today’s Kulaks.

I always hated Lucy too and wondered why one day Charlie Brown never gave her a light kick in the rear end instead of going for the pulled away football

Because Chuck was a good guy and would never hit a woman, unless it was to save someone else. If she pulled that crap on Sally, he’d knock her block off.

I once witnessed a ten or fifteen minute disagreement in one of the interminable meetings in my old job at a major heritage site. The Victorian iron gates were to be stripped, repainted and partly gilded. Old layers of paint had been analysed and the original colour was deemed to be a dark green. The disagreement was over which exact shade. We had no actual example of any shade of green, so the debate was about a colour the two people disagreeing could only see in their heads.

Waiting for this episode to drop is like waiting for my Social Security payment to be deposited in my account. The debt ceiling has been reached but unlike the last time the Govt. shut down this time Social Security payments are not happening. Considering the numbers of Democrats who depend on it how was this allowed to happen?

Remember when they tried renaming STEM, STEAM? Science, Tech, Engineering, ARTS and Math. It was an attempt to get the female numbers up. Or make Art majors feel better about themselves. Something to undermine the STEM fields.

This global supply chain has been a real problem. We get parts from all over the world and ship final product all over the world. Our lead times have gotten very long from our supplier. We are stock piling our incoming parts. Incoming parts inventory will skyrocket, but we will insure that we can ship as required.

Scott – There are 10 types of people in the world: those that understand binary and those that do not.
Give it a moment, you’ll get it.

You can count to 31 on one hand using binary. I used to keep track of my son’s points in basketball using binary. The problem was when he had four points only my middle finger was showing.
