I’ll give an example of a “hate crime” on an ordinary person that got a lot of play at first, and then went VERY quiet after the eleven FBI agents and local police failed to find any evidence that it actually happened. Althea Bernstein claimed she was set on fire by racists at a road junction in Wisconsin in the summer of 2020. She was unknown before she made her claims. Her claims were not as obvious horse elbows as Smollett’s but still pretty unlikely.

Scott isn’t wrong that the statistics of hate crimes are higher than the sensationalized hate crimes – but that’s largely because the largest targets of hate crimes are still Jews being attacked by Muslims, and Asians being attacked by Blacks. And the media doesn’t want to cover that.

I think perhaps Bill is just too sick to take Scott’s evidence of absence argument today. I love Scott with the love of the LORD but sometimes I can’t take his position. Scott, you need to have an episode that just points out all those genuine “hate crimes” of white people against POC’s . If they are really so prevalent you shouldn’t have any trouble coming up with a show very quickly.. Like all those people who insist that the Bible is “full” of contradictions but when pressed to come up with some “real” substantive cases, they go crawling back into the woodwork. Sorry, Scott. I just can’t buy it any more.
BTW, Bill I hope you get the blood clot taken care of quickly, not something to take lightly. Blessings to all the trio and back stage staff for a Merry Christmas

If there were real hate crime, racist incidents the press would all over them like white on rice, completely ignoring the fake ones like NASCAR or that Klan meeting on campus that turned out to be microscopes w/ their covers on.
The absence of real hate crimes is the proof there are no real hate crimes.

Just a reminder how far we have sunk. Was smash and grab going on during the dèpression? The answer is no. and people were far more desperate. But society was far more civil and if you will pardon my mentioning it, far more Godly.

There may not be the statistics that Scott is referring to, but there are FBI statistics showing that black on white crime is three times as common as the reverse. So maybe those are our statistics, perhaps not being covered because the victims are mainly white.

Banned was a poor choice of words. They blocked us from uploading new content for a week because we violated their community standards. This is our second strike. And they also took down the offensive video.

I work in a place that has an extremely large fraction of PhD’s (i.e., over-educated fools), and they are some of the dumbest folks when it comes to everyday life. Consider the fact that a few years ago it was considered a good idea to replace the solid-painted crosswalk stripes with the all-caps word, LOOK. This was due to the fact that all of these autistic outpatients cannot be bothered to look up unless reminded to do so prior to crossing a busy street.
These same over-educated fools also typically believe that COVID-19, in all its variants, is the pending apocalypse unless we submit to an experimental, artificially-created immune response. Fear is a powerful thing.

You and I must be meeting a different class of PhD. In the case of STEM PhDs they are usually the first to say that they know a great deal about a very narrow subject. This is unlike those with doctorates in something non STEM who seem to think this bequeaths upon them authoritative knowledge of all subjects.
Nearly all of the engineers I know are quite sanguine about COVID, fully understanding the importance of co-morbidities. And since most of us have had jobs during our careers that have entailed real respirator wearing and understand particle size, we know that masking accomplishes nothing.
The only exceptions I know to mask wearing are several who have other health issues and have been very careful because a severe respiratory illness would very likely end their lives.

Yep. That’s the fundamental problem with generalizations … there are always exceptions. I probably should have qualified my little COVID rant with a reference to the PhD’s in policy-making positions. Those fools are nothing but politicians regardless of what specializations they hang behind their names. Once again, there are a few (albeit a minority) exceptions.
However, the LOOK sign is a true story, and I laugh about it to this day.

Good point David, they lack common sense, which is apparently not so common amongst the highly educated.

Bill, you should consider doing a channel strike week every so often. Make a completely benign video just listing some of the basic facts that are accepted by rational thinking people everywhere for all time, that are now considered hate speech or racists by the tech giants. Make getting a channel strike an event, then post all the videos on Rumble that you could never put out on Youtube, do not pull a single punch. Make a pre strike video explaining what you are going to do and telling people where to find you after your next video.

… Except that after three strikes they pull your content and permanently close your channel. Each strike lasts 90 days, if the strike occurs after that period it’s counted as a “first strike” and the process starts over again.

The strike in question here is a second occurrence but because it did not occur within 90 days of the first strike it’s only a one week ban. If it had been less than 90 days it would be a two week ban.

Three strikes 90 days each apart, and good-by YouTube.

Even with that policy, they can arbitrarily just remove the channel and content if they think you’re messing with them or gaming their system. Which is what would happen if Bill, Scott and Steve did what you suggest.

To be clear, if Google/YouTube wants to they can issue three strikes over a single video and ban a channel permanently.

The thing to remember here is that YouTube is not only a revenue stream for this enterprise, it’s where the people who really NEED to hear the message can be reached. Preaching to the choir is all fine and dandy, we need to be motivated as much as anyone but we’re already converts. We’re not the problem.

It’s those people who might be reached out there in the world, who can be swayed by argument and facts, that are crucial to changing the political situation.

There are very few of those on Rumble, they’re mostly all people like us who are already on our side.

Messing around with Google/YouTube and getting the channel cancelled would be a very, very profound loss for Bill Whittle and Co.

I think he plays the devil’s advocate a lot more though it doesn’t come across that way often. He agrees with the other two quite often, but sometimes when someone tries to make an argument assuming numbers or some evidence that he hasn’t personally seen he will try to withhold judgement or ask them to clarify.

I would give Bill the benefit of the doubt and blame this more on the early hour they record this and the drive and energy he puts into certain topics, but Bill doesn’t seem to accept the challenge very well sometimes and sounds disappointed that Scott won’t go along with him. On the other hand Scott is doing what we would want to do, and ask anyone making assertions whether they have proof or if they are just taking someone else’s word on faith.
Regarding the race hoaxes, others have said similar in that if there were more real racial violence it would be covered as well. I think to counter Scott’s point that “there are other cases, why are they not being covered?” we have to consider the quality and skill of the current news media: that they are not skilled, produce no quality and are not really news. Partially it is the “missing cute blond girl” syndrome, or the three legged chicken they referenced. The anchors and talking heads cannot just present numbers of cases of racial epithets used or mostly harmless spray paint uses. They need something to gin up rage and Nooses! or other dramatic events are required.

The media looks so hard for hate crimes that they champion anything they can find which is why they end up championing fake hate crimes, if they could find a real one they would champion it just as hard, there is no one covering up hate crimes today. Unless the perpetrator is a Democrat, or is a member of the media, then they cover it up.

Yes, I think that it’s incumbent upon someone claiming that there are pedestrian race-based “hate crimes” that don’t get taken up by the media has the burden of proof to show one. If he presents “statistics” then he must also include definitions used by the organization producing the statistics. SPL statistics disallowed. FBI statistics only admissible insofar as they show the number of prosecutions of “hate crimes,” and how they are defined in law.

While it’s true that the Smollet case was particularly notorious, most of the other race-based “hate crimes” we read about are very pedestrian: usually graffiti at a college campus. The fact that they are all on or near campus is a tell. It is NOT that the media thinks that only campus race-based “hate crimes” are worth reporting on, it’s that those are the only ones they can find.

I’ll tell you one “hate crime” that does NOT get reported by the media, and that is vandalism of property and assaults of persons based on their religious beliefs, as long as the attacked person or organization is not Islamic. Pro-life, Christian, and especially Catholic persons, statues, buildings, and displays are being attacked at levels never seen before.

(I think “hate crime” as a term is PC nonsense and that all such crimes are covered by ordinary laws against assault and vandalism. The real purpose of “hate crime” laws is to unconstitutionally criminalize speech.)

This talks about just one recent incident out of over 100 in this country in the last year. There have been even more in Canada, and even more in France. Also in other places all over the world, from Australia to India to China. Christians have been almost wiped out in the Middle East, where the Christian tradition has roots 2000 years deep. Egypt has almost none left, nor Syria nor Lebanon nor Iraq.

I saw lack of policing firsthand whe I was leaving the Defending the American Dream Summit in downtown DC, 2012 I believe. Basically, it was a mini-CPAC. At the time the Occupy Wall Street scum were turning our parks downtown into toxic waste sites (seriously, I saw guys in HAZMAT suits cleaning up when they finally cleared), and they all came to the Convention Center to pound on the glass walls & doors, demanding to be let in. They even shoved an old lady to the ground that needed to be treated at a local hospital. As I was leaving @ 10 or 11 that night & saw these people, and using their young children as human shields, and there were the Metro Police. Standing a few feet away, and well organized, lined up like a bunch of girls at a school dance waiting for a boy to walk up to them. We’re just at the next stage. Nobody’s going to like what follows, least of all the criminals
