Like many of you, yesterday was utterly heart breaking for me. It seems so unfair to lose the voice of Rush Limbaugh at a time that, it seems, we are going into a new and very dark age. Our challenge will be to keep up the fight – to keep speaking out and to keep telling the truth.
I first heard Rush 30-years ago. I was starting my real estate development career in central Florida and was driving from Orlando to Melbourne. Bored, I turned the radio on. There were no FM stations I could pick up. Switched to AM and hit scan. Suddenly there was the sound of gunfire over the singing of “Born Free.” At first I was a little shocked, but then Rush came on with his “Environmentalist Whacko Update.” It was irreligious, hysterical and spot on! I kept thinking to myself – “there’s someone out there that thinks the way I do, I’m not crazy!.” There rest is, as Rush would say, “histoi.”
Thanks for all the years, Rush. God called the loan on His talent, rest in peace…you’ve earned it and we won’t let you down.
Nice piece by Andrew Klavan on Rush:

what a beautiful way to put it–“GOD called the loan in on his talent”…I got to benefit from his talent for 30 of those years. He will be sorely missed but greatly honored at my house
Spot on, my friend and my meeting with Rush went much the same way. I want to add this. Rush was like a father; he raised us while teaching wisdom, courage, and strength when faced with what seemed impossible. God figures we are ready to carry the torch now, so he’s called in his loan back to heaven. We can honor Rush’s memory by getting up off our complacent asses and taking care of ourselves instead of depending on a government to do it for us. At 67, I got a slap in the face over the last few days down here in Texas as my family and me and the millions of families around us almost froze to death. Many did because of the wealthy ruling elite’s greed and the incompetence of those we elect to govern. WAKE UP SHEEPLE!
We’re getting hammered here in Middle Tennessee, but thank God we have power. Our last Democrat governor started a bunch of solar power deals with the hope of switching parts of the TVA over – thank goodness they declined. We still have coal, hydroelectric, nuclear and gas.
