Before you go on bashing on Catholicism in Haiti, do yourself a favor and read Confession of an economic hitman, by John Perkins and understand just why many of these nations are so corrupt but receive so much resources and attention from 1st world countries, and especially the US.
You want people to fix something we are intentionally doing to them and even responsible for in some cases? The Mexican cartels are in bed with your favorite three letter agencies! They are being armed by both sides and play both sides.

Medieval sanctuary and biblical Cities of Refuge did not prevent arrest. You could be extradited but first you had to make the case to the bishop in the Medieval case and the Cities of Refuge temple Priest in Israel. That tended to cool peoples anger and lead to a more reasonable legal case rather than a lynching. That was the objective of the Cities of Refuge in Numbers 35:11–24. Interestingly only one city, Kedesh, is in modern Israel today.
The only reason why there are not enough lifeboats (visas) on the good ship USA is that the democrat party has disallowed them. The Republicans and Trump pushed hard for visa simplification and reform but the left and the RINO’s have blocked it. Trump even fixed the Dreamers problem of no records in their home country because they grew up in the USA (allowing US records to be used) but Biden reversed that reform week one.
The great unstated fear is at the next round of leftist riots and protests a lot of these immigrant men will be encouraged to fight on the front line with the words “the Maga Republicans will send you back home.” And these Afghans and Haitians are not the soy boy Antifa cowards, they are fighters.
The reason why in many cases its only working age or fighting age men is because family reunion protocols have been adopted by most countries with the UN pushing it very hard on the first world. Dad or oldest son only need to make the trip. Once here the UN or the state department arranges the rest of the family to immigrate.
In Europe, 2 years ago, a big driver that produced all the footage, was that Syria’s Maher al-Assad had initiated a second round of conscription on top of a pledge from his brother Bashar to end it and both sides are using chemical weapons and suicide weapons. Millions of conscripts fled to Europe.

Like everything else they do, the people who are advocating uncontrolled massive admittance of unlawful intruders are saying they do so for compassionate reasons. In truth, the reasons are completely selfish and self centered.
They do this to overwhelm the voting system to guarantee themselves a lock on power. They also do this to flood the unskilled labor market guaranteeing a ready and unlimited supply of ultra cheap labor. Those two things are self perpetuating, one guarantees the other.
These things combined will have the effect of creating a sub-class of oppressed second class citizens with little hope of a better life than exists on the bottom rung of the American ladder. Which admittedly is a step up for most of these unlawful interlopers and that too works to keep them there at the bottom.
None of this is anything resembling a favor to the people willing to come here illegally in an unregulated flow from human misery to human bondage. And the plan is bondage at the end of this road.
This is obvious and inevitable if this course of action continues to be pursued. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist, a brain surgeon, a sociologist or Hari Seldon to understand the end results.
Our dilemma is to make these things known to decent, helpful, good American people who will be appalled if they ever actually grasp the truth of this situation.
