Wow, Bill. It was you? As a years long supporter I’m so damn proud right now. If Larry makes it, I could care less if you ever post another video again.
I’m behind on the videos, because I’ve been trying to prepare my family and house, as a resident homeowner in the central valley here in California. We have a conservative county and a good sheriff, but who knows how it will go down for us too in Stanislaus county?
It appears that Larry Elder has thrown his hat in the ring… it was announced last night (12 Jul 2021) on Hannity.
I’m a long way from California. It could be said that as a crotchety old Englishman it’s none of my beeswax what happens there or who runs the place. That said, as California goes, so goes the US, as the US goes, so goes the world. Seeing folk wallow in the cesspool they voted for loses its charm when you know that many of them did not vote for it, when a select handful of them are folk you care about, and when you realise that the gangrene will slowly (or not so slowly) spread through the whole body, not just of the US, but of the planet.
There comes a time when the rot must be stopped. I was wondering who the silhouette was of. As soon as Bill said Larry Elder I instinctively exclaimed “Yes!”.
So, I say with the magnificent Ron Swanson Alter Ego…“Run Larry! Run!”
So here’s what we need to do. Bill nailed it, the people best suited for these positions don’t want to do it because it so contentious and who can stand being around these miserable democrats. We need to get together enough people to run for office like Larry Elder who actually enjoy being around each other and the job of running the cities and states will become an enjoyable experience because you now have people in office with integrity, who love our country, who are genuinely good people guided by moral principles. It is something to shoot for. How do you attract these people? It requires sacrifice, low pay if you’re not going to be corruptible, but it would not take long to turn this country around.
Dear Mr. Elder
As California goes, so goes the country. We’ve got a country to save.
With deepest respect,
Debbie McEachin
Let me know when you get to Idaho.
Governor Larry Elder would almost make me wanna move back to LA.
Almost
At the very least I’d drive back to my old neighborhoods to vote for him a few times.
I too would do anything to support an Elder campaign! THAT is the shot in the arm the US needs; not a damn COVID one!
Dear Larry Elder, I have children and grandchildren living in California. They need your help.
Bill, after the 2020 election debacle I swore I would never again donate a penny to any political campaign. You make the liar out of me. If you can convince Mr. Elder to run for Gov. of our “fine” state, I’ll squeeze the largest donation I can afford out of my veterans disability and send it to his campaign. I’ve read some of his books, listen to him on radio, and think he is one of the wisest, most well informed people we have in California today. I’ve lived here since 1949. This state has a LOT of possibilities, but first we must get rid of political opportunists and carpetbaggers who hold office today, from Governor to local dog catcher. ALL must go.
Well said…
Hi Bill, Been a fan for quite awhile, time to be the virtual Governor. Do a series of what you would do. Times passing!!
Oh, I’m from Victoria Australia, you think I don’t know a BS Cali. poly when I see one. There are so many examples of wrong show us right!!!

Well said!
Bill, If ya come to Tejas with Kaliphornial plates, just don’t drive your convertible through Dealey Plaza. And don’t force Mr. Elder to cast his genius before Sacramento Swine.
** Just park the car in the garage until the new plates arrive.
** And forsake Kaliphornia to Abaddon.
What a brilliant idea! And after California, maybe POTUS?
If Larry Elder is going to run for governor I would like him to move to AZ.
I normally do not post comments, but in this case I must. Please Mr. Elder, help these poor people out. I have spent approximately 1/3 of my life in California, and I have to say it now needs a lot of help. If you can possibly just hold your nose and dive in, the entire world would benefit. Thanking you in advance.
Respectfully,
Sue Poucher
Larry rocks!
What percentage of Californian voters have never been introduced to the genius of our American founding principles? Roughly 73% of Californians were either not yet born or are too young to have any memory of Gov. Ronald Reagan. The value of an Elder campaign, not only to California, but to the United States of America is incalculable. The value of an Elder governorship carries the potential to right the course of American history.
As much as I hate politics and partisanship, a Larry Elder governorship of Cancerforinia would be a breath of fresh air.
Larry is one of the smartest guys in the room.
Mr Elder? take a deep breath, think about it and then lift your head up and say “Yes”. The worst thing that could happen is you end up as the governor of California. We need you.
I know Larry and will be sure to pass the word!
If he were the gov in CA, I would no longer have to hand my head in shame when asked here in TX where I am from originally.
Now I’m triggered.
Larry brings the goods, no doubt. He was my first favorite host when I moved from Berkeley to SoCal 20 years ago. Then in 2004 I read this thing “War of the Bumper Stickers” by this guy Bill Whittle. It was funny, concise, and irrefutable. This Bill Whittle guy was a gifted writer. That’s why I read my saved copy of “Shards” annually. He was also a gifted speaker and humble enough to invite his whole production crew out on camera in his final(?) episode of Afterburner.
What’s more…
-He’s handsome
-His wife is hot
-And most of all, like Luke Skywalker, like Arthur Pendragon, like Aragorn: HE DOESN’T WANT THE JOB.
William Alfred Whittle, if you don’t run, we are going to kidnap you and make you do it. This is so long overdue. If you notice my intro post, it’s the reason I am spending money to be here.
I always thought you stayed out because you don’t want your name dragged through the mud but I can see now you don’t care. Do you think we wouldn’t open our wallets? Do you think we wouldn’t have your back?
I pledge $1000 and you can hold me to it. I get paid a lot of money to put stuff on Mars. I can afford it.
Can’t find those books for sale. Bill should run!! He’d have my vote!
Thanks for that link! I just went there and read Bill’s essay called Under The City. It’s located under the Commentary section.
Classic Whittle. Should be a movie.
I just realized maybe there’s a reason this stuff is hard to find but “Shards” was not part of his book “The Silent Majority” so I don’t think he would mind us reading it.
Let’s not get off topic though. Bill are you going to accept that $1000?
I’d sure vote for him!
Go, Larry, Go!
Tit for tat isn’t always the best way to go about things. Kindergarten-ish. How ever, it seems that we are playing with kids. We need to start referring to politicians as White Progressive Gov. Gavin, White Progressive Pelosi, White Progressive Dem. President Biden, etc… although I am unsure what to call the Veep. hmmm. Everyone else should be given the same treatment they give Conservatives. New specific titles for all.
Larry, California needs you to save that state and its citizens. We’re tired of receiving them in Idaho…and some of their wacko ideas of how a state should be run.
I am going to do something in support of this idea that I almost never do. I am going to pull it up on YT and leave a comment in the hopes that someone does get Mr. Elder to watch it.
Run, Larry! Run!
I think you grossly underestimate how much California is disliked. I moved from NY to the mid-west 25 years ago. I took 10 years before some people stopped looking askance at me.
My wife of 47 years grew up in Queens. She and I have lived all over the world during my military career. People still find it hard to believe she is from New York because she doesn’t speak with a New York accent…and she’s a conservative.
Jerry Brown was 25 watts. Facts…
California still leads our country … down the six lane highway to sheol … followed by a solid 60% of our confused and self-centered populace.
Reference to sheol. Nice. I’d bet most people would have to Google it. I know it, but I’m a bit (small bit) of a Biblical scholar.
Don’t you find it amazing that the solution to this ‘white priviledge’ nonsense is a coalition of accomplished conservative black citizens!
You could choose any of Larry Elder, Tom Sowell, Condoleezza Rice, Ben Carson, David Clarke, Kay Cole James, David Webb, Allen West and you would have a a winning future in California they are all fair minded conservatives that advocate for EQUAL rights and PERSONAL responsibility.
What a concept…
Larry, I know it would be a big sacrifice, but PLEASE run. I can’t vote for you because I don’t/ wouldn’t live in CA, but I pledge to send a contribution, and pray for you. A regular fan and admirer.
I also agree with other posters, that Bill Whittle sounds great for any office, either state or federal.
I have been listening and watching Larry Elder for as long as I can remember. I found the Larry Elder radio show one day and was hooked. He has clarity in his thinking and is able to articulate what I am thinking at lightning speed. When Larry starts talking I’ve learned to concentrate on him because if I don’t I will fall behind. He gets wound up and just goes on and on and I’m drawn into his way of talking.
He brings common sense to chaos and here in California we live in chaos!
When he is a guest on anyone’s show I wait to see what he has to say and I’m never disappointed.
Larry Elder for California governor? It would be about time.
Draft Larry Elder if he stalls. We all need people like him, and living in NY means his success will help restore our state and I won’t have to move either.
Bill Whittle for Gov.!!! or President!!!!
Bill, get a ballot to me in NH and I’ll write him in!
With the Dems lock on the Legislature there would be little or nothing Larry could do, much like Arnold. Although I suspect Larry has a stiffer backbone than the Terminator.
Larry knows he would go through what Donald Trump is going through. Also he would try to change California using legal means like Donald Trump did with America. It’s almost impossible to fight criminals legally.
Donald Trump could have done so much more if he hadn’t been fighting criminals every step of the way.
I hope this comes to pass.
Aw Bill, why do you hate Larry?
I like it.
i’ve been following elder for decades. good man. the problem isn’t elder…it’s the dysfunctional anti-american engine that runs kalifornia. this isn’t ronald reagan’s california. the state is in lock down facist mode.
I think if we can have a fair election you’ll find that the good people have had enough.
There in is the problem. How is there ever going to be another “fair” election? Honestly….
exactly my point, thank you!
Sounds like a perfect idea to me. I like and respect Larry Elder and I feel he could do great things for California.
