As Rep. Liz Cheney seems poised to lose her leadership position among House Republicans, Bill Whittle and AlfonZo Rachel take on the task of schooling Liz Cheney on what American conservatism actually is.

Summary:
“The Constitution doesn’t grant your rights. It’s there to protect them.”
Rather than base our conservatism on a person (Reagan, Lincoln, etc.) why not base our conservatism on someone we can’t find a flaw with? Be a Christian conservative.
“You left out the part that says to love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, and strength. God authored love. Love God for your own sake.”
We can have these laws all day. The real deal of the law is love. Do you think we can have a sustainable society of people who don’t do things out of fear of penalty of law? People are going to look for the loopholes, ways to try to skirt the law. Love doesn’t do that. Love doesn’t say “Hey, how am I going to try to get beyond this law?”
The virtue signalers think they’re doing this out of love, but it is miserable hate. Woe to those who call good:evil, bitter:sweet, light:dark. We must have something eternal on which to base this.
Uphold the law? Try love, respect, courtesy. Outside of that, we’re going to look for loopholes to try to skirt good law.
If government were there not to play in the game but to referee the game, if government were just as small as it should be and not involved with every aspect of your life then it wouldn’t matter who was President, senator, etc. These people shouldn’t be trying to change the machine, but to oil it.
This episode is exceptional! It should be watched and taught in every classroom, boardroom, and family gathering in the USA! Thank you, Zo and Bill for this series, and for all you do to shine the light of truth on our fallen world.
Liberty is the Freedom to do what you OUGHT to do, not whatever the hell you WANT to.
Under Natural Law, EVERY Natural Right comes with a corresponding Natural Responsibility.
Yes, doing the right thing is often the hardest thing, and so many fail at this, if they think no one is looking or think there will be no consequences. To me, I believe the person with integrity will do the right thing, even when no one will know. ( I believe our Lord will know either way)
Correction, Zo … we each have the right to pursue happiness. We do not have the right to be happy. The former depends upon the individual (i.e., equality), but the latter depends upon somebody else (i.e., equity). These are fundamentally different mindsets.
