Seattle Mayor Defunds Police Who Clear Violent Homeless, Transfers Cops to Guard Her Mansion

If Seattle residents don’t need a security squad to protect them from addicts and mentally-deranged homeless, why does Mayor Jenny require a 24/7 cordon around her own multi-million dollar home?

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan defunds police whose job is to clear violent homeless camps, and then transfers those cops to guard her own mansion. If Seattle residents don’t need a security squad to protect them from addicts and mentally-deranged homeless, why does Mayor Jenny require a 24/7 cordon around her own multi-million dollar home?

It seems that the whole scheme behind the “defund the police” movement has been to get rid of police officers of conscience, who would REFUSE to enforce unconstitutional edicts from anti-American socialists/communists holding government office, and to install officers who are in line with the socialist/communist “ideals” of these people.
Think of those German officers and enlisted personnel in WWII who were “only following orders,” when it came to brutalizing/killing those people deemed to be inferior by the state, that kind of officer is what the defund the police bureaucrats are looking for, people who will follow any (unconstitutional, murderous) orders. You can see the type of officers they have in mind at work in Australia, arresting, pepper-spraying, brutalizing their own citizenry because they dare to question the government’s lockdown and masking orders. The fact that Australians were mostly disarmed in the 1990s makes these tyrants bold in their fascistic orders, God help those countries who have surrendered their firearms when it comes to Covid tyranny.

IMHO, Living near Socialist Seattle City Council run Seattle as I do, the reason the Republican’s can’t make hay out of this is that they aren’t Republicans. In Washington (especially King County) they are Democrats with a different shirt on…waiting their turn to ‘get all the benefits.’

An interesting development of this “defund the police” mania is that while major metro areas like Chicago and Minneapolis are scaling their police forces way back, the suburbs around those cities are scaling their police forces way up.

I have a client in the Minneapolis/St. Paul greater metro area. Their business is located in a suburb adjacent to Minneapolis proper. When I asked them about this “defund the police” thing they said they’re not experiencing any problems in that area, their (suburban) municipality has added several officers to meet the rising outflux of night crawlers from Minneapolis.

One of the things I do for that client is maintain their security camera system remotely. So I can see what’s going on around their building. They also have me review, “stitch together” pertinent video clips and write up a timeline report explaining what’s going on at what timestamp on the video — after an incident for evidentiary purposes to give the cops.

There has definitely been an uptick in the frequency of incidents since last year. However, police response time is also very, very fast. The owner of the business I mentioned called me after hours and said there was a homeless drug addict clearly blown out of his gourd hanging out in front of their business and “Could I see him on the camera?”

I looked and sure enough, there he was and I could see him just fine. While we were talking and after I had hit “manual record” on the system I told her (the business owner) to call the cops. She hung up talking to me and did so.

It was less than three minutes later a cruiser rolled up and about 8 minutes from the time she hung up that guy was cuffed and stuffed. For trespassing and public intoxication. If the guy was wanted for anything I’m sure those charges could be added to after he was in custody. It’s likely that he was, most of those people are known and sought by local LE.

So this “defund the police” insanity isn’t having quite the effect that one might think. It’s hell on the residents of those metro areas but largely contained within those cities with a wall of cops around the problem area. Many of the police who have resigned in the cities are being hired by the local suburban municipalities and it’s a buyer’s market so they’re getting all the good cops. Those officers are only too glad to get a better job in a nicer area and it’s likely they’ll move their families there too. In all cases, they become more not less protective of their “territory”.

The politicians causing the problem are the ones who will ultimately pay the price for the suffering of their own constituents.

It’s insanity and political suicide. I’m finding it hard to imagine that these politicians can actually be that stupid but clearly they are. No amount of media bias can cover up the situation completely, it’s just a matter of how many people will suffer before those idiots are removed from office.

The Republican can’t run it to the end zone because the media is playing for the other team and virtually nobody will hear about it and if they do, it will be smothered in “nuance” and then talks only of all of the alleged faults of the Republican.

The only police left there are the ones either too stupid or so bad at their jobs they could not leave so probably she just needed protection from the other police and chose from the most competent ones left.
