Ok, guys, for once, IMHO, you blew it. You missed what the essential problem is. Being a ‘middle class X-Calif.relo’ who left because of economic reasons, who lives about 70 miles north of Seattle, who has a nephew in the police force, and who is NOT lording it over the locals (?)…Seattlelites are not ‘stupid’ for continuously voting in Leftist/marxist leaning City officials…there are 2 reasons. 1. They have been trained by their leftist oriented School systems to “believe in Democrats” as representatives of Democracy and 2 Washington has mail in voting for a decade with a corrupt counting system that ensures Democratic Bias in Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia. That together with typical apathy and “Let George Do it” attitude has solidified the left’s strangle hold on the whole Damn State! PLEASE do not think all Ex-Californians are spreading this disease. It is the School system first, the media second, and the politicians third. One does not have to leave Washington state to be free and conservative, just leave SEATTLE!

It sounds like you might be living in the same neck of the woods as my wife and I and our kids and their families.I grew up in Burbank,CA. and relocated to Skagit County,WA. almost 30 years ago. My 2 younger sisters both moved up here after we did, and they both live in King Co. WA. Now we can’t wait to get the hell out of here.

Well, Good luck to you Bob. I love the beautiful Skagit valley and I think it is worth saving from the corrupting liberal influence. So I think I’ll stay and Fight. After all, it is not the valley’s fault, it is a mental disease in humans! 🙂

This is one of the main reasons that my wife and I are moving out of wash. state with our daughter and her family later this year. They’re leaning towards arizona, not sure yet. We do know for sure that it won’t be calif., we left that state in ’94 and won’t be going back there.

I think if we can’t stop the tide of relo’s from Cali that vote far left in their “new state”, no state will be safe at some point.
I just moved from Colorado because they’ve also went far left. So don’t go there.

I tend to agree with Scott that I don’t want my local government armed to the teeth. There is a difference between a police force and a military force. See photo. These budget items can be cut from my local police force and I would not be upset at all. The budget for training should be expanded significantly.

I agree. Don’t think the cops need to be “militarized”. I understand a SWAT team for certain situations, but not what the pic depicts.
Better training, better screening of applicants, remove unions that keep bad cops on the force, and no bad cops hopping from dept. to dept.

Or Republicans can be more blunt to inner city residents. One party likes you poor and being crime vicitms. We’re the other guys. Vote accordingly.
