Former celebrities Chris Rock and Rosie Perez stood in front of New York governor Andrew Cuomo‘s face in place of actual, effective coronavirus masks as the governor sought to obscure his responsibility for thousands of deaths resulting from his ordering nursing homes to take in COVID-19 patients.
Rock and Perez both made plaintive calls for people to notice them which went unnoticed by anyone with two brain cells to rub together.
“Wear me! Wear me on your face!” begged Perez, while Rock added, “I used to be sorta funny, cracker! Oh, right, and something about masks.”
Cuomo eventually appeared to tire of the pair and rattled off some nonsense about how great things supposedly are in New York.
After the first few seconds on stage, none of them wore actual masks.
In keeping with modern news standards that discount anyone’s ability for thought more complex than the factoid on a Snapple cap, here’s another one-sentence paragraph.
