Something I’ve started to come back with when faced with mask police (and I WISH I’d thought of this MONTHS ago) is “If you’re so concerned about the virus, use Curbside Delivery (for grocery stores), use UberEats (or the equivalent), or order what you need online.” Let the people who are scared of the disease be the ones who cower in their homes, not us.
I will admit that it’s harder when it’s the employees of a business that tell you to mask up. In those instances, I either comply briefly to shut them up and make them go away, then demask elsewhere in the store, or I pull a U-turn and march right back out and take my business elsewhere. If there’s nowhere convenient to take my business, then I’ll order online from freedom-loving companies or as close to the manufacturers as I can get.

I love the idea! You can also say that you cannot safely weak a face mask and in most states with these mandates there is a blanket exception for people who say that. There is a book called face masks in 1 lesson that goes into far greater detail.
I would add to this also leave a truthful message/review for the store in question explaining your decision. Also for those stores not supporting Stalin’s mandates leave a positive message/review. Let them know you are choosing them because of their stance. This also works for any of the “Woke” supporting leftist stores/businesses both online and in person.
