That crafty smirk is the perfect touch! I can easily picture these catching on and spreading like memetic wildfire. I wonder what he’d look like with slightly intoxicated eyes … or maybe a wink? That determined, steely-eyed-missile-racoon stare is solidly engaging though. We might need a few versions! Nice work!!
While I might like the slightly intoxicated look, I think it might be taken less seriously; we want them, and us, to know we are as serious as a heart attack.
I share that reservation, but also wonder if excessively earnest seriousness is part of how we shoot ourselves in the foot. In a time when the incessantly lecturing scolds are manning the other side, bringing an element of lighthearted fun into the mix could perhaps help catch the attention of those they’re driving away.
Not going to be a problem. This is the design phase, working out proportions and patterns and coloration. Once we have a model we like, I can make any expression we will need! I have the basic shape now so my next stop is the pattern of stripes, you’ll see something posted about that in the coming days.
