This SpaceX 2018 retrospective is a massive bit of inspiration that makes my heart soar. I truly believe that Freedom’s future lies on new frontiers where others will fear to tread. Dang. That’s cool stuff. Videos like this really give me hope for humanity.
The Falcon Heavy twin booster landing gets me every time — as does the CRS-16 water landing. All I can think is “she did a beautiful job” despite one stuck grid fin. They recovered the booster intact. See this video (start around 3:26) for amazing audio of the Falcon Heavy launch. Sounds of the sky ripping open like canvas, as Bill once aptly put it. Man this stuff energizes me.
