Suicide: Left Celebrates Abortion, But Laments Soccer Player Who Acted on “My Body, My Choice”

The recent suicide of a college soccer player spurs one of our Members to ask how the Left can celebrate abortion, yet lament suicide when the latter is the ultimate expression of “my body, my choice”.

The recent suicide of a college soccer player spurs one of our Members to ask how the Left can celebrate abortion, yet lament suicide when the latter is the ultimate expression of “my body, my choice”, and the former is a brutal act committed on someone else’s body. Conservatives grieve the loss of both lives.

Zo, thank you so much for the last comments you made on life and the gift that it is and your truth statement on the biblical view of suicide. So many think that God will understand and forgive this great sin of taking your own life and not trusting the LORD OF LIFE for that outcome. Love you all

I grew up in a climate of abortion being a very well-used and accepted option when sex resulted in pregnancy. The Supreme Court potentially reversing Roe v Wade is important not because abortion is outlawed – after all, it is now up to the local jurisdiction, and in Virginia you can murder a newborn – but because it could change the climate of not considering the unborn child.

This is true. Instead of one national discussion on abortion there will be 50 State discussions going on.

The big deal about this is that it puts the legality (or not) of abortion back into the hands of the voters and takes it out of the hands of the Federal Government.

I think this is what the Left is most afraid of, at least on this topic. Because they have the idea that the path to achieving their goals is on a ratchet. They believe that once they’ve accomplished something they want, then that is the way it will work forever and ever, that having been done it cannot be undone.

If Roe v. Wade can be overturned after being in effect for nearly fifty years, then there is no future guarantee that any of their other societal changes and steps towards permanent neo-Marxist socialism are safe from being reversed either.

I’m greatly enjoying observing their extreme anxiety and consternation generated thereby.
