In reference to the segment regarding $$ buying an election this is an interesting intro by Paul McCartney to this performance of ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxha1IUsSPI
I was one of those who asked for this kind of morning-after analysis and so I wanted to say thank you very much for it. I really enjoyed it!
Thank you for the suggestion, Laura. Glad you like it.
What Biden should do to “unite” the party is make Bernie his VP. The Bros would vote for that hoping Biden drops dead mid-term and Bernie ascends to the throne. Then we can vote against two losers at once.
Most excellent, guys….Thanks
You’re welcome, Karl.
The democrat delegate map distorts things itself. The delegates a state gets aren’t based on population. They’re based on a weird complex formula including by how much they’ve voted for the democrat candidate in the last three elections and other such, it’s the reason that California has 12% of the population but 22% of the delegates. It seems to me that method of apportionment is liable to reinforce the blinkered nature of selection process.
Bloomberg couldn’t buy the election with $500,000,000 yet democrats believe that Russia bought an election with some Facebook ads.
Jack O’Neill pronounces it as Ball.
Excellent synopsys as usual, but you did miss a point or two. First, many conservative voters turned out here in Kaliphoney because there were many other things to vote for than just the presidential primary. Local and state reps, judges and ballot measure were also being voted on here. Also note that though President Trump might have garnered more votes than either Biden or Sanders, when there is only one Dem. candidate on the ballot in November, they will get all the votes from the left side, so will pull far more votes than President Trump here in the Sheeples Republic of Kaliphoney! Just sayin’ is all … ;c)
Warren is staying in and taking one for the team just to pick off delegates from Sanders. Had Warren bowed out before Super Loser Day, Sanders could have conceivably carried MN, TX, ME, MA and perhaps even OK.
Nobody is perfect Bill I still respect your opinion!! The bottom line is, we all want Trump for 4 more years!! C Brown
Hallelujah!!
That’s it! I’m voting for the young one.
And This morning (Thursday) Warren is out. Stayed in long enough to pull some of the socialists away from Bernie, I guess.
Guys, guys, guys. I am a bit disappointed in you. Scott said Hillary won the majority of the vote. No one did. With the Green, Libertarian and independent votes, NO ONE got a majority. Hillary got a plurality of the vote; more than Trump. I wonder what would have happened if the vote had occurred again as a runoff. I bet Trump would have gotten a majority, but we’ll never know.
Gents – really, really enjoyed this. Loved the long form, back and forth with multiple questions and interactions among all three of you.
I regret I can only upvote once.
Great job!
To add on your closing point Bill: If you’d be happy with the results of the last 3 years if they would be happy with all of the things you listed at the hands of a black Leftist but not by the hands of a white man…
They are obviously racist.
Bill, I gotta disagree w/ you’re closing argument. I work w/ hard core libs and, as Scott Adams says, they’re watching a whole different movie than we are. These people honestly believe we’re in a recession, about to be wiped out by Coronavirus because Trump eliminated the CDC so Mike Pence can pray the virus away. And that once Trump is able to secure re-election, we are in the final days of Weimar Germany. That’s what they honestly believe.
FG – I think both Bill’s close and Scott’s earlier summary are not directed at the “hard core libs” that you work with. Rather it was to those who consider themselves to be reasonable people not overcome by TDS. There are quite a few people in this country who don’t pay attention to politics, and certainly don’t feel that strongly one way or another. These are the people to whom Bill and Scott and Steve were speaking.
Those that you work with are a lost cause. But even the Bernie Bro I work with is reasonable enough to acknowledge that people at the lower end of the socio-economic spectrum are better off now. He just wants his free stuff from the evil rich people.
It will be interesting to see if he even votes, as he passed out literature and made calls for Bernie, and can’t stand Joe.
I don’t like Republicans. But I really don’t like Democrats. And I ‘effin HATE Socialists.
‘Specially Illinois National Socialists. h/t Jake & Elwood.
That gives me a great idea for Trump to keep the DNC’s Brown Shirts from harassing his supporters at Trump rallies – list the address as 1060 West Addison
That’s not a soccer riot! Come on, lads! Let’s show ‘em a real soccer riot!

Bill’s assessments are as good and mine
KAMALA/BETO 2020
Yea, in January of 2019 I was with my some family for my Aunt’s 80th birthday. She asked me what I thought that far out. I also said Kamala as she just checked so many boxes. I might have Booker as VP. So I was way off, too.
I thought the young & Kennedyesq the media was touting re; Beto would make him a prime VP choice.
It would have been cheaper and likely more effective if Bloomberg had mailed everyone in America and Canada (don’t know the population of Mexico) a million dollar check.
AN HOUR Right Angel! Dang! I AM getting my monies worth.
Bill’s making up for the other week when he had the audacity to get sick!
Steve and Scott, you were both close to an interesting point. Normally candidates appeal to the more extremes in their party during the primaries and then move to the center during the general. Biden can’t do that. In order to try to attract Bernie voters, Biden will have to move further left (which he has already signaled by appointing Robert Francis O’Rourke to be in charge of gun policy). This will alienate moderate voters.
I was so happy when Joe tapped Beto. Everyone in the NRA or remotely NRA sympathetic are gonna crawl across broken glass to stop gun control. See: the crowds in VA recently. Why do dems keep going back to that losing well?
Was Beto wearing his furry costume while Jo was tapping him? =8^)
You need to provide eye bleach with comments like that, BB. Shame on you. 😉
I don’t think so, but Joe might’ve sniffed him.
Because the NRA is a terrorist organization! (Hack, cough cough) That lie got caught in my throat. I am an NRA life member. And if we were the problem, the whole world would know it.
Ditto!
The big winner of the Bloomberg campaign? Political consultants. I’m just kicking myself for not at least trying to milk some of that gravy train
I hope they took Mike to the cleaners cause I don’t think it’s ever gonna rain like that again for them.
Please guys, let’s stop using the flattering “AOC” moniker. I make a point to always use the great phrase that Kurt Schlichter coined, “Gulag Barbie”
Ace over at Ace of Spades calls her Donkey-Chompers. Cause she looks like a braying donkey when she gets going.
Ace is my other typical daily site. More of a lurker there, don’t comment much except for Gorilla Pundit threads.
I never comment there, either. The comments are great, but there are to many to have any kind of conversation
I agree. You may reply to someone and they reply back 30 comments later. Tough to engage.
As flakey as Discus is, I don’t comment over at Ace cause he doesn’t use it. Discus keeps all my replies in one place and emails me when I get a reply. Why I only post here ever 12-24hrs.
Ace also calls her “Toothy McBigT*ts”.
I’m still partial to Gulag Barbie!
.
Bill, I know those noises you were making at the start of the vid were trying to mimic the sound of morse code beeping, but all I could hear was Twiki from the classic Buck Rogers show from the 70s – “Biddy biddy biddy”
Ohhh…. I tried to watch the Season 2 first ep of that show. I remember it being considered a strong re-vamp of the show. We’ll. Everything’s relative. Maybe that assessment was true in 1978 but OMG it was uwatchably bad seeing it in 2018. And WTF was that sailor suite they put Erin Grey in?
Hawk was the only cool thing about season 2, aside from the episode with the Saurians being good. For that matter, the show jumped shark at the end of Season 1 with the War Witch.
And the best line from the show that aged poorly was when Buck was teaching tactics with football analogies. At the end of the episode:
“If you’re really Buck Rogers then who’s The Juice?”
“It’s OJ Simpson, he was a running back for the Buffalo Bills now let me through!”
