Surreal Likeness

Apologies for the obscenities… But read this:

Aside from the flattering admittance that the GOP is actually a, uh, “worthy” opponent for the Dems, it sounds an awful lot like a shell. Like if you cut out the word “GOP” and replaced it with “Left,” and “democrat” with “republican,” it’d sound almost identical to what righties say. It goes on and on, but I didn’t feel like sharing the entire list with you – it’s long, and it gets a little too uncomfortable about how the rhetoric sounds exactly the same.

I have long held the belief that the people are more alike than they’d care to admit. We have more in common than we realize. We’re two sides of the same coin, united in our opinions of our leaders. The only difference (for the vast majority of us) is what we believe the solutions are. I’d probably go ahead and extend that to the entire civilian population. We are all united in how we think, it’s just what we think that’s different.

I hope what this means is that it’ll be an easier fight than we realize… rather than a harder one because we’re facing the same kind of determination and stubbornness and conviction…

Just wanted to share this surreal moment with y’all.

We must never support the Dems and stop supporting the RINO’s! There are very few true Rep’s anymore. Most are RINO’s! They sell us out while acting like they’re on our side. All traitors.
Don’t know if your “representative” is a RINO?
Go look at their voting record at Senate.gov or House.gov
If they don’t vote at least 80% Constitutionally, they are a RINO.
We saw a lot of them during the Election Certification vote.

We are all united in how we think, it’s just what we think that’s different.

I very strongly disagree. Not about the “what,” that is most definitely different, but about the “how.”

There’s an infinite difference between accepting reality for what it is because its nature cannot be changed and believing that it’s possible to make reality into whatever one wants because it is subject to our thoughts and emotions. Why do you think socialism always fails?

Reality will not be denied. It cannot be denied. It was here before we were and it will still be here after we are gone. Reality and human nature are subject to neither wishes issued by individuals nor edicts issued by governments. Why do you think that every wish for the unnatural, every form of prohibition ever enacted, and every kind of tyranny ever imposed fail?

There is rational thinking and irrational thinking; all thought can be categorized as one of the other. Rational thinking is in accord with reality and irrational thinking is not. Most of the political right and all of the political left are irrational. The two are nothing alike.
