Target Painted: Minneapolis Store Gets Racial Justice Mural with Town in Flames

In the wake of the George Floyd murder trial, the Target store in downtown Minneapolis gets its exterior painted with a racial justice mural that shows a town in flames as protestors riot. Will this curry favor with the ‘woke’ crowd, or is it just another confirmation of Stockholm syndrome?

I don’t believe the owners of Target are that intelligent. They are “woke”, which is the modern equivalent of stupid.

Woke Coke may just have choked: Will Target Blink soon as Coca Cola Inc may have just done? Will Target blink after the next riot burns that pretty mural?
From today’s New York Post and this is one to watch in the very near future:
“Woke Coke has gone flat.

Coca-Cola has paused its controversial diversity plan — that included penalties on outside law firms if they failed to meet racial diversity quotas — after intense backlash.

The pause comes after the orchestrator of the plan, Coke’s former general counsel Bradley Gayton, abruptly resigned last month after less than a year on the job and as criticism of the quotas mounted.

Some questioned whether Gayton’s policies violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which says employers can’t treat people differently based on their race.

Scott Leith, a spokesman for Coke, said Gayton’s replacement, Monica Howard Douglas, is now reviewing the plan”

Those with the shout in these riot cities are totally responsible for the situation. The rest, like Target, are following their example.

The store’s inside music track is on repeat, and it’s from Blue Oyster Cult.
You guessed it. Burnin for You.
Home in the valley Home in the city
Home isn’t pretty…Ain’t no home for me
Home in the darkness, Home on the highway
Home isn’t my way…Home I’ll never be
Burn out the day-Burn out the night
I can’t see no reason to put up a fight,
I’m living for givin’ the devil his due,
And I’m burnin’, I’m burnin’, I’m burnin’ for you

If I were running Target and someone destroyed one of my stores, my response — far from honoring or memorializing those responsible — would be to simply clean up the wreckage and leave the site as a big, empty weed-filled lot. And too bad about the jobs lost; that’s a problem of someone else’s making. In the long run, Target is simply enabling the bad behavior of the cretins who are trying to destroy our society and economy.

The disconnect is that your response is sane; whereas, the Target decision makers are not.

Nice comparison to the “pass over”. These idiots (Target like) need to remember, criminals don’t care about platitudes or even honest heartfelt support. For the mob it’s all about doing and getting whatever they want, whenever they want it, and doing whatever entertains them. Think of a two year old who only wants to eat candy and not their vegetables… Giving a two year old candy every time they throw a fit only teaches them to throw fits more often and sooner rather than later. They are spoiling/ruining their own children, I mean social justice warrior toddlers.

Right. See them as they really are—-Social Justice wRealtors and wRobbers? The woman Marxist who sits atop BLM has paid millions using donated money for her 4 new houses. Social Justice wRealtors, wave of the present, coming to start a bonfire near you!

So clearly they mean something other than “everyone” by “we”. Business owners, anybody “we” perceive is oppressing “us”, whether it’s true or not… not so much

A few years ago in SCARget I found a greeting card display with cards mocking the crucifixion of Christ. Seriously! When I complained to the manager, he tried to weasel his way out by saying oh, that’s one of the card distributors and we can’t control that. You see what they are. Murals? What’s next, a gilded altar to Bael?

I am white. I am 73. I lived through the rioting and mayhem in the sixties. We lived in the north end of flint,mi. Nothing has changed. Literally trillions of tax dollars later….NOTHING has changed. No civilization in recorded history has been able to eradicate the tricolon of sloth, indolence and avarice.

At what point does a society come to grips with the realization that for some, there simply is no correct answer. Every family large and small understands that regardless of the assets distributed, education and knowledge provided, there will be those inside that family unit that never seem to (be able to) connect the dots.
