The American Descent Into Madness

The American Descent into Madness – Victor Davis Hanson’s Private Papers (victorhanson.com)

Because I listen/ watch y’all while doing something else, I seldom com to your website any more – I’m pretty much YouTubing it.
But – after reading VDH today (which I just started doing on a regular basis – I’ve been watching/ listening to him going back 20 years or more – about as long as Eject…)
I have to ask:
Why can’t the great minds of our Age (yes dear ones; I’m including y’all – as yours is the most expensive subscription I pay for and, watch the most, along with Klavan) get together and form a new Communication Network that’s both “Conservative” and entertaining?

Why not join forces with Daily Wire (I know, I know, they are doing it but… they don’t have you all) and Victor Davis Hanson and Robert Avrech and Dennis Prager and Hugh Hewitt and even the Babylon Bee  (yes, I know there are many others of equal worth – our own local boys like James Lileks and Powerline and the other stars like Hannity or Carlson, etc.) and find Deep Pocket Backers to create something as ubiquitous as Facebook/ Twitter/ Television Media/ Corporate Political Media/ etc.?

Seriously.

It can’t be just that y’all’s Egos are too powerful to work together, can it?

Everyone of the many, including the many I did not mention, all have a deep seated sincere belief that reflects VDH’s essay that I posted above.

You all do and, I listen to and read a lot and – you are currently the best to listen – which I suspect is because there are three of you (I do appreciate Zo but – he has the stridency of Ben Shapiro or Mark Levin and others with 100% great points but, are not easy listening…)

It’s a thought.
If you all can organize it – I’ll research the Deep Pockets.
Maybe the Donald might be interested even if it’s not Trump branded…
Who knows.

Did you consider the risks of putting all the eggs in one basket? Isn’t it possible multiple outlets with diverse approaches are a strength, not a vulnerability?

I read Hanson’s paper on American Madness. The only part that I found unreasonable and vile was his comment that called Truman, Trump and Nixon “UNPOPULAR LOUDMOUTHS.” I guess that placated Fox news! VDH will still keep his place on Fox AND get his regular paycheck.

That sentence caught my eye too. You may find this excerpt from Hanson’s book, “The Case for Trump,” clarifying. Here are some quotes but to flesh it out, it would be helpful to read the whole piece: “Truman left office in January 1953 widely hated. Indeed, his final approval ratings (32 percent) were the lowest of any departing president except for those of Richard Nixon…For the next seven-plus years, Truman shocked — and successfully led — the country…Truman could never keep his mouth shut: ‘My choice early in life was either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or a politician. And to tell the truth, there’s hardly any difference.’…Truman’s crassness eventually was appreciated as integral to his image of a “plain speaking’ and ‘the Buck Stops Here’ decisive leader…if the past is sometimes a guide to the present, Trump in theory certainly could become a more effective president than would have been his likely more circumspect Republican primary rivals, while perhaps demonstrating that he is far more uncouth…The paradox again raises the question: When any one man can change the lives of 330 million, what exactly is presidential morality after all — private and personal sins, or the transgressions that affect millions of lives for the worse?”

Thanks, but I have to ask: Why is it that this “greatly respected historian” doesn’t want to mention as part of the madness, the 2020 election fraud? In the whole piece on American Madness he fails (FAILS !!) to even put it in his summation. I guess we might assume that as he writes at the very end he is also telling us he is “Sorry, no can do.”

Perhaps that’s because he is a “greatly respected historian?” By that I mean the nature of an historian’s job is not conjecture, but documenting concrete facts. If you don’t want to devote that much time, in the first approximately ten-fifteen minutes of this excellent hour-plus video from Nov 7, 2020, VDH does a thorough job relaying the known facts of the questionable nature of the 2020 election results.

All over the country, there is a citizen army of remarkably knowledgeable analysts pouring over 2020 election data, in many cases volunteering their time, to try to unearth the far too closely guarded data. You may not share my opinion, but I am confident that Dr. Hanson will apply his uniquely qualified talents to the record once he is confident he is contributing an honest record based solely on the facts that the Democrats continue to do their damndest to suppress.

Time will tell. I will wait to see if that becomes a reality. Justice delayed is justice denied. Appreciate your comments even if I don’t hold VDH in as high regard as you do.

anyone attached to fox news has marching orders and follow those to a tee. i would suggest looking outside their purview but that’s just me.

Maybe.
But, I suspect those I mentioned associated with Fox are not marching to the Corporate tune.
Plus, those were my “secondaries” anyway.
Somebody needs to do it!

the day the arizona voting conflagrations were revealed tucker carlson couldn’t find one minute to address the cheating, stealing and lying about the cheating and stealing. not even a micro-second and he was live. now i truly believe he is a great american and deeply cares about the war on our constitutional republic but i also believe his $20m salary comes into play.
and so it goes.
respects to you.

At this point there is no way that the election will be undone. Once Biden was sworn in, how he got there became irrelevant. So, with that in mind, I am content to wait to see how things play out rather than jump up and yell every time a new tidbit of information is spoon fed to me.

There are two ways to remove Chao Bai Den; impeachment and election. Win the midterms, stop his (their) agenda in its tracks, impeach the living crap out of him, Pelosi, Schumer, , Swallowswell, Schiff, etc., and prepare to win in 24.

tucker completely ignored arizona…on the very day it hit…LIVE at 8pm. he’s a great warrior but he’s no william wallce or maximus meridius.
