Have you ever smelled a dead, rotting animal? A deer, possum, racoon, or skunk? Now imagine that on a dinosaur scale. We all know there were dinosaurs, and we all know they died right around the same time. Those bodies just laid there, rotting. Something killed off all the plants. Without the plants, the plant-eaters died. Without the plant-eaters, the meat-eaters died. Imagine that last meat eater, maybe a T-rex or a velociraptor… standing on a hilltop, searching for something to eat… and as far as the eye could see… and as far as the nose could smell… nothing but death… and rotting flesh. And not just on land, but in the oceans too. The entire planet… one giant ball of death. We didn’t clean any of that up. Who did? Mother Earth. It is impossible for Man to kill off every plant and animal on earth. And even if we could… Planet Earth would still be fine. She fixed it once; she’ll fix it again.
People who fear Climate Change, fear one of two scenarios: Man using up every resource until the Earth is a barren rock in space like the moon or… Man pollutes the Earth so badly that we can’t survive here any longer. Well, we just proved that Mother Earth can take care of herself. For those people who think that Man won’t be able to survive, I submit to you that Man is the most intelligent, most imaginative and creative creature to ever walk on planet Earth. Those cockroaches may be tough little suckers but they’re not building rocket ships. We will survive. Have faith in Man. Have faith in the planet. Don’t’ fear Climate Change.

That’s always been my argument, too.
