Reverend John C. Rankin, a brilliant and loving man who gave his life for the gospel of Jesus Christ, came up with a great idea for his home state of Connecticut (a terribly corrupt state) and ultimately the United States – the Emancipation Party.
Here is a small description of John’s work:
“John dedicated his life to equipping the church in knowing the God of the Bible and in showing the goodness of God to a hurting world. With the mission field of politics a primary target, John was uniquely gifted to interact with the most ardent critics of a biblical worldview. For decades, John addressed the most controversial political debates. He thrived on being asked the toughest questions – in fact, a motto of the ministry for many years was “The Love of Hard Questions.” In pursuing the Golden Rule: “Treat others as you wish to be treated,” his aim was always to honor the humanity of others and love them as image bearers of God – not simply to win a debate.”
I was lucky to hear John in person when he came and spoke at my alma mater in the 1990s, but I’ve followed and supported him since then. He was a good friend with conservative radio host, Eric Metaxas, and was a regular on his show where the two talked about matters of faith and how that faith could revolutionize government in the U.S.
Before he could bring his plan to fruition he died this last Christmas (2020), but he left the foundation and plan for this party that would be:
“Setting People Free in Matters of Religion, Politics and Economics
Aim: Simplicity, Trust and Transparency at Every Level of Government
Means: Cutting Law by 99% and Taxes by 50%.”
Here he fleshed out the plan:

Even though John is gone his plan for cutting government’s size, power, and corruption was left for freedom-loving people of all walks of life, and there are some amazing ideas here. The 2022 elections are coming fast.
