The National Debt

On a couple of different occasions, Bill has alluded to the US national debt.  Below are some comparisons that illustrate the actual scale of the debt.

Dimensions of the national debt in relation to the size and thickness of dollar bills
A stack of dollar bills the size of the national debt would be about 1,526,988.64 miles (2,457,450.00 Km) tall.

So if you had to pull all those end-to-end dollar bills off the reel and you tied the end to your special F35 with the autopilot and bottomless fuel tank the plane would have to finish the job without you because you’d be long dead of old age.
