I have listened and enjoyed Moving Back to America along with the other topics discussed on BillWhittle.com.
And, after hearing once more about how the “power of belief” and Star Trek and Star Wars and inspiration – I keep on waiting for the “money quote” (or, more precisely, the money “word”) and it never comes.
Y’all come closest on “Virtual Signaling” but, it is still a roundabout message.
And, the Word is… G-d.
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other”
– John Adams.
As much as I agree with Mr. Whittle regarding Stars Wars and Star Trek and anti-Wokeism and all the rest – what this country needs is another Great Revival; another Great Awakening.
Now – I am an (“ultra”) Orthodox Jew so, the idea of a bunch of born again Christians rampaging through the land trying to get us all (especially the Jew Folk) onboard does not exactly appeal to me.
However – this is 2021 and we live in a G-d Denying World.
And, IMHO, That is The Problem.
All that Jews require is that non Jews try to adhere to the basic laws of civilization (like don’t murder each other) and the two critical concepts of Justice and Morality.
But, the operative word in my above sentence is “TRY”.
If we live in a G-d Denying World where the notion of impartial Justice is abnegated and any concept of Morality is abrogated then, we actually do live in that real world of the Vikings (not the fake Woke one where they love Muslims).
Sincere god believing people of any religion who hold by the fundamental values of a god given morality and of a god given Justice – will be able to come together for the Good.
I don’t think that creating secular Social Constructs of the Good is going to work.
I think that folks need to somehow embrace G-d.
(And, in that vein, Mr. Whittle, you should get together with Andrew Klavan in your efforts to create new hero sagas for this modern age.)

There are no gods. So where would you put me if this nation wasn’t made for me?
A majority of people will claim to believe in some deity, in the west that deity is usually the Judeo-Christian one. A majority of people in prison make the same claim. Per capita how does the number of atheists in prison compare proportionally to those in society as a whole?
I don’t know.
However, without G-d or gods or the Higher Authority not of This World, people tend to do whatever they damn well please.
People tend to do whatever they damn well please WITH G-d but, at least most have a sense that their behavior needs modifying to more align with the Author of Morality and Justice.
As I noted above, today’s world of the Orwellian Big Tech Democrat (and most Politicians) Media Celebrity Elite is corrupt because there is No Higher Authority other than if it feels good or serves My purposes – Do it!
Again, I don’t know your answer but, as a student of history, I do know that societies that reject their core values (which, in America, come from G-d), fail.
Perhaps it is different in your religion, but I know a lot of people who were treated poorly by religions of various sorts and decided to walk away from them.
“People tend to do whatever they damn well please” = Free Will that God gave us.
If some religions cannot be trusted, then those who want to follow what they believe is best for them while doing their best to be good people in general should be okay.
Morals & ethics & values that lack in ego and greed is what we need. Be that included in religion, spirituality, or other matter not so greatly.
After all, the Bible states we will be judged by our deeds, not by which building we enter on Sunday, Saturday, Wednesday or whatever. JMHO
I agree.
My premise is that morals and ethics and values that come from G-d are Good.
Morals and ethics and values that come from ME and my own egotistical values… Ain’t so good.
