The Real Meaning of Shawshank Redemption

I have watched Shawshank Redemption at least three times, but have never picked up on this. Looks like a Stealth Bomber attack on Hollywood.

A wonderful analysis of the biblical/Christian imagery and the sweet tragic storyline of good/evil, redemption, and salvation. I’ve watched this movie at least 5 times. And even times when I’ve come across it in progress, I am compelled to watch until the end. A glorious ending to a tale that that speaks about injustice and truth. The most terrifying scene, for me, is when Andy says to the Warden, “How can you be so obtuse?” That’s when I knew it’s not just about truth or facts or justice, it’s about power, and how easily that power is corrupted by greed.
