Bill, your discussion on Booker T. Washington reminded me of the modern day Daryl Davis. He is a very inspiring black man and over several years made friends with many KKK members and convinced them to leave that organization. It is my understanding that he now has in his possession over 200 robes and hoods of ex Klan members that have left and given him their robes. Great discussion with Davis on an older Joe Rogan episode, well worth the listen. Booker T. Washington’s methods work both on small and large scales!
Lionell, I agree with you philosophically, but not practically. Because it takes more than one person or one family to win this battle. I moved from Los Angeles to San Diego in 1978. Two years later I moved 15 miles east of San Diego, two miles up a dirt road on one acre in a green sward. And when I retired I moved to Ecuador (about ten years ago) where I can still surf at a beach house and live pleasantly in the highlands with good medical. And even the kind of leftist government here doesn’t impact me. It’s not that I gave up or gave in, I just voted with my feet. At 74, I too have co-morbidities. But I also had the ability here to buy ivermectine and hydroxychloroquin and azithromycin without prescription. So, for a couple hundred bucks I bought SARS-2 insurance for myself and eleven members of my extended Ecuadorian family. Yeah, we have to wear masks — but the science says that lessens the chance of getting covid and more importantly lessens the viral load that one might get which means your body has a better chance at developing a resistance before being overwhelmed. Bill Whittle says he’s not ready to give up ( the country) — I just want to live as well as or better than I did before California started it’s roll downhill, which it did after Reagan’s governorship was finished.
Now I thought overall this was an excellent video and made some really good points, but hold on a minute. Where are you getting your statistics? On the Johns Hopkins Covid-19 dashboard, I calculated the Global case fatality rate (CFR) to be 2.7% and the U.S. CFR to be 2.8%. How does that equate to a 98.4% survival rate (1.6% fatality rate) for people over 80, the most vulnerable age group? (And no, I am not in favor of separating the family at the funeral. I mean they live in the same house anyways, right?)
Spanish Flu CFR was 2.5% and seasonal influenza CFR is 0.1%.
Because the two least popular starters are being promoted by the party and the press is a sobering reality. Your thesis and brain storming is like dreaming to prepare for the worst. If they cheat or worse, there are that many people who are that misguided. It is a Utah Senator
What do we do with the mentally broken young people… the screaming crying violent nihilistic clueless children of my generations loins… we allowed this insanity by surrendering academia to avowed marxist (Frankfurt school) acolytes who’s agenda was to transform our higher learning institutions into indoctrination centers…. they were spectacularly successful… If we win this electoral competition, we must pull this foul weed root and branch from our educational institutions.
One way to win is stop feeding them. They can’t feed themselves. In a few months, it is over!
A government cannot give what it does not first take. Then make sure you don’t have much that governments can take. Produce only that which you need to survive. In a few months, it is over.
You are NOT your brothers keeper unless you freely choose to do so. If you don’t take care of your self, you cannot take care of your brother even if you choose to do so. Do what is necessary to take care of your self and not very much more. In a few months, it is over.
A frog in a slowly boiling pot eventually becomes a cooked frog.
The constitution cannot protect us, WE have to protect the constitution. So far, we have done a very weak job of it. We are one election away from the constitution becoming totally irrelevant.
It is ballots or bullets. There is no third way. It is going to get ugly. It is up to us to decide what kind of ugly it is going to be. Then we must act upon that decision. Are you a frog or an American? So far we have been frogs.
One thing I know. I am 83 with comorbidities. My continued existence depends upon a functioning technological civilization. I will not survive its collapse. All I can do is fight with ideas. Ideas expressed as clearly as I can accomplish. I cannot do more. Once that was enough. Is it still enough? Only you can answer that question.
