Too Late, Captain Buttmunch!

A twelve-year-old boy gets suspended for bringing ‘a message of hate’ in the form of the Gadsden flag on a backpack. When challenged on this by his mother, she was informed that the school prohibits the wearing of anything that promotes ‘drugs, tobacco, alcohol or weapons…’ Yes? AND?

When challenged on this by his mother, she was informed that the school prohibits the wearing of anything that promotes ‘drugs, tobacco, alcohol or weapons…’ Yes? AND? And the mental gymnastics continued as the school struggled to justify sending a kid home for wearing something the school officials didn’t agree with. I suspect the American flag will be next.

I suspect the mom filming the interaction with the teacher and then posting it is the whole reason they won. Had this all been conducted in the safety of secrecy the school would have felt empowered to tell the parents to pound sand.

I don’t believe the Gadsden flag patch itself triggered this teacher and admin official. I think the teacher saw that this student was an American patriot, a conservative and his parents were likewise. I believe this “intolerant” teacher targeted him for that reason, looked for allies among her colleagues, then ganged up on him like a bully. If the school has an anti-bullying policy, the parents should hire a lawyer and sue.

I vaguely recall reading about a school that wouldn’t fly or allow clothing with the American flag because it was offensive to students from other countries. Oy vey.

I don’t care what you say, venomous or non-venomous, if I see a snake, I’m still going to scream and run away.
That said, our teachers are like this because we raised and educated them this way. Unfortunately, it will take at least a couple of generations to undo it all.

The reason this issue reached a positive conclusion is that the Mom RECORDED the meeting. Breitbart’s lesson that we are all journalists on display here. No video? No story–just a whiny parent and an entitled kid who won’t follow the rules.

I saw an interview with the young man and his mom. He was very poised and could see this episode in a humorous light, and thoroughly enjoyed the chance to be interviewed. Also, he’s 12. At that age, kids figure most adults are sub-par in intelligence. The ignorance these educators showed when it comes to their own country’s history plays right into that. His mom also mentioned that as a ‘person of color’ herself, she found it funny that the teacher who complained kept citing racism as a reason to get rid of the Gadsden Flag patch. It was another indication of the ignorance of the people who were trying to cancel Jaiden’s right to free speech. Laughing at your adversaries is a great way to knock them off their high horses!

One photo that may or may not be accurate (I tend to believe it IS accurate) showed the young man (Jaiden) standing in the parking lot to the rear of the teacher’s car – presumably the teacher who was shown in the video. The car was festooned with all manner of leftist crap/bumper stickers. Clearly, Jaiden wonders about the very hypocrisy that the teacher displayed — it’s perfectly OK for the teacher to display all of that leftist crap but the Gadsden flag patch is inherently evil, racist, and must be banned.

Did you see the flag that these commie swine have designed? Its the socialist Fist grabbing and choking the snake and on the bottom it says “We Will Tread”. These people are utterly useless and a waste of resources..

The school board held an emergency meeting and reversed the ill-considered decision of that administrator. (I tried to post a link to the article here but your website kept giving me an “invalid e-mail” error.)

When that happens, log out of the site, close your browser and log back in.
Sometimes I have to re-boot.
It is actually an IP address issue where the site thinks you are already logged in from another IP address.

… and sometimes that’s the case because someone used their phone etc. away from home and then came home and used a device on their LAN. Which generates a different IP.

That’s why if you’re using a VPN it gives that error too. If you connected without the VPN, that’s one IP address. If you then connect with a VPN, that’s a different IP address. Or the other way around if you connect first with a VPN and then with a non-VPN connection.

If you connected yesterday with a VPN and then today with the same VPN but you shut it down and relaunched it between times, you picked up a different IP address from your VPN because your DHCP lease had expired. Unless you pin your VPN address, which I do not recommend.

Usually for me just logging out and back in does the trick.

This is the tyranny of bureaucracy. Any single person in the chain can easily say “No” to something because they think it’s bad. The policies get interpreted however that person thinks it should be.
A sane school administrator would have looked at the mother and kid and simply said, you are right. This person overstepped. We will do better in the future.
But they can’t admit that. The reflex to say no we were right and then find a tortuous path to show they were right is how you get this.
Leftists cannot seem to admit they are wrong about anything. If they could then the fact that the models for global warming have been so wrong would change minds. Among other examples.

I always wonder if people are clueless on being secretly video taped and of course the flayling of the school administration to justify a purely political decision being strongly challenged (by someone clearly informed with the facts).
