Tortured by the Gazpacho: Republican Lip Slip Nails Heart of Political Divide in this Nation

Was Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s slip of the lip a laughable mistake, or one of the most apt indicators of the political divide that tears this nation apart.

Republican Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene, warning of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s “Gazpacho police” — intentionally or not — nails the heart of the cultural and political divide in this nation.

One problem is that the Gazpacho Police are backed up by the Gestapo Police. The Gestapo Police can remain hidden for so long as their useful idiot Gazpacho are effective. If the idiots fail then the Gestapo will become more active and visible. See for example Canada where the Gazpachos (media, legislators, celebrities) having failed to destroy the Truckers’ Convoy are being replaced as I write by the Gestapo- guns, arrests, monetary seizures, etc..
This is not a reason to shy from the coming fight; merely a heads up that we need to recognize our true adversaries.
(That the Gazpacho will be obliterated by the Gestapo is an ironic sideshow.).

Wow Bill, just wow! My favorite MBTA so far. Powerful and thought provoking. I’m already memorizing some of Amis’ quotes to use during conversations with my liberal friends.

I have friends who are represented by MTG and they absolutely love her and all the goofs that come with it so I would say she is doing great for her district. Especially with forcing in person votes in the house. Now we need a senator to do the same with pro-forma sessions of the senate.

Bill, weird but serious question – with all of your years in the media why would you release this on the weekend? I’ve been following since Eject! Eject! Eject! and this may be one of your most powerful pieces yet.

MTG is being labeled by leftist feeds like Wikipedia as a far right conspiracy theorist. Her ‘slip of the tongue’ may have created a new phrase/term in line with ‘Let’s Go Brandon’. I like Gazpacho police. Excellent commentary Bill.

I like Gazpacho Police too. I think Bill hit the nail on the head with this one.

Lumping MTG in with people like Storm Front, Aryan Nations and Christian Identity is going to come back to bite those hyperbolic mis-labelers in the ass. Real far-right hate groups are a whole ‘nother critter than someone like Marjorie Taylor Greene. The Left is calling a napping day-dream a nightmare hoping to make it one.

If the genuine, militant far-right extremists, which are rare and unpopular with the vast majority of Conservatives, had the power the Left tries to credit them with, they wouldn’t dare call people like MTG a “far right conspiracy theorist”. Those people can be every bit as dangerous as any Jihadi and they don’t run for Congress.

In fact, that sort are so rare that most Conservatives have no idea what they are all about. Which is probably just as well except for the “forewarned is forearmed” aspect.

Note that I am not advocating for such types in any way. They are every bit as anti-American as any group on the far Left. I’m an American, I’m for America in its Constitutionally correct form, not a fan of some nuts and their wet dream of a Neo-Nazi regime.

It is highly unlikely that MTG is as nuanced as Bill. I see her as more of a sledgehammer — like DJT. Such tools are good for making barricades and obstructions transparent like windows. We need more windows in our politics. Bring on the hammers!

We do not have any excuse for bending our knees to the Gazspacho, which sounds to me like a Chevy Chase spoof of a Mexican protection racket. Three Amigos anyone? We must love freedom more than the Gazspacho fools love power and control.
It’s time to drown the Gazspacho police in tomato soup!

Amis book is a good cautionary tale for America. Bill? You should also do a comparison of the French Jacobins to modern American Leftists. The similarities are uncanny and appalling.

When you assassinate history like the modern Left does, everything that fits your narrative seems like a new and promising means to achieve your agenda. There’s nothing really, truly new about any of it, corrupting history just allows the Left to ignore the end result of their trite, tired, disastrous old ideas.

If you think “assassinate history” is too strong a phrase for what’s going on today then ask yourself why does every statue in the nation really need to be torn down, whether that statue is of a good person, a bad person, or anything between?

Every statue removed is an assassination of history. People who would do such a thing are not far from assassinating live people when they’re done with statues. The assassination of history is always a precursor to assassinations in modernity.

Hmmm – I think Assassinating History would be a great title for one of Bill’s essays. If not a MB2A then a Firewall type. He could incorporate both Amis and compare the current left to the Jacobins as you say.
This would further demonstrate that this is not only not new, but planned pitting people against each other.

I hadn’t really considered that but now that you’ve pointed it out I agree.

Let me just say here and now that anything someone says or anything Bill can draw inspiration from in our little forum here — Bill is most welcome to as far as I’m concerned. This is about the fight and the fight is the main event.

Yes! Tomato soup is best served HOT! Crazed cancellations of people is best served COLD. Pick your poison.

Tomato soup made with milk not water, with a sprinkle of onion and garlic powders, a dash of black pepper, a dollop of hot sauce and a bologna and cheese sandwich — Is one of my favorite lunches.

Just straight tomato soup in a thermos is one of my top “to go” treats I like to take along when I go fishing. Nothing like a hot cup of tomato soup on a cold day.

I can’t stand gazpacho.

Apparently, before the 19th Century, tomatoes were not used in gazpacho. The ingredients were typically stale bread*, garlic, olive oil, salt, and vinegar.
* Just about everyone had a way of using up stale bread. Fondue is another well-known way of using up stale bread, as is French Toast.

and it ALL boils down to the POLICE with GUNS, lest make the cops accountable for their treason. BTW I was an MP in the AF and 1 of the first things I was taught was to NOT trust ANYONE because there could be ONE person in 10000 that doesn’t like you and he will kill you. So NO cop trusts you.

I don’t get your point. Police have to have guns, they’re facing an armed criminal element every day. Take away the means of defending themselves and no one is going to want the job of law enforcement. Disarming police would be even more catastrophic for American Society than defunding the police is.

One could argue that they should be better trained and more accountable. Even then, there’s a point of diminishing returns because we’re dealing with fallible human beings subject to many forms of compromise and error. Armed police are like all political power in general, a necessary evil that needs to be kept in check and compelled to remain inside the civil boundaries set for such things.

As for cops not “trusting me”, I can’t imagine why they would do that. I don’t trust them either. In fact, my regard in trusting someone has to be earned, like my respect. I don’t just lavish trust on someone for no better reason than because they manage to consume oxygen on a daily basis.

I respect the uniform, badge and gun of a cop but have no trust in the man underneath all of that until he earns it.

For all I know his wife told him she’s leaving him for another woman over breakfast that morning. His kid got arrested for drugs before noon and when he came back from lunch he found out he’d been passed over for promotion and a raise, again. So he’s having a bad day and possess the authority to take that out on someone. I don’t want that someone to be me.

I have no idea what his mental state is and he has no idea what mine might be either. For all he knows the above bad day might be mine and I’ve got a gun and headed somewhere to even a score.

This is why civility and courtesy are vital in society. That’s the social lubricant that keeps us from going all medieval on each other at the slightest excuse. This especially applies when dealing with a police officer. He’s a lot less likely to shoot you if all the signals you’re sending are amicable and respectful … and you follow his lawful requests and orders promptly and willingly.

There is a very tiny minority of “POLICE with GUNS” here in the United States that commit anything resembling “treason” and yes, those who do should be held accountable for that if that’s what they’re doing.

The reason I don’t get your point is as above and the fact that Bill wasn’t talking about police with guns. He was talking about the disturbing tendency towards “chekism” (note spelling, no second “c”) growing in the United States and being encouraged and applied by the Left. It is an historic symptom and a warning sign of socio-political decline that leads to totalitarianism.

Sorry. off topic. It’s 5:47 a.m. Pacific, and Trudeau and the Biden administration are moving against the truckers . I believe unlawfully. They are arresting many, and “confiscating” the $ from the GoFundME alternative. (I think they actually got a judge to hold up the money.)
And they have all the media mouthpieces doing stuff like this:
https://www.cbsnews.com/video/canadian-judge-orders-end-to-trucker-blockade/#x
Blatant silliness saying that patriots trying to argue against government tyranny are “dangerous instigators.” And the truckers are the ones to blame for economic trouble!
Look, every peice of GDP MUST be backed by a piece of energy. It takes energy to create and it takes energy to move the creation. These truckers did not cause the inflation or the shortage. BIDEN and the WEF created this by stopping fracking, pipelines and creating distrust of government by passing silly little Executive Orders that cause uncertainty in business markets.
Anyway, As of This morning, February 12, 2022, the Biden Administration and Turdeau’s goverment are killing representative government in North America.
