Who cares? If what she says is true and she has the proof to back it up, more power to her!
It could be because Trump really does want to distance himself from her, given that she made claims against a GOP governor. But it’s also possible that it’s because she represents Flynn against the DOJ and if the DOJ brings fraud charges (which, if her claims are true, they would pretty much be required to do), it could be considered a conflict of interest for her to be involved, so she might have to withdraw anyway. Either way, she never was hired by Trump and nothing that she says should be seen as official claims from Trump or his legal team.
Yeah, I think it’s probably something like this, rather than that the Trump team wants to “distance” themselves from her “crazy” claims. Also, it’s better for her case if she’s not technically partisan. I heard her say during a phone interview on Newsmax on Saturday night that she fully expects to find (eventually) that there are some Republicans currently serving in office who used the Dominion/Smartmatic vote manipulation software to cheat to win too.
In some ways, I think her case is much bigger than proving Trump won in a landslide (though I think she will do that). She wants to force enough light on it that states have to get rid of these voting machines. She is focused right now on the battleground states for this election, but I suspect she will keep going and challenge every state that persists in using these corrupt systems.
She is working for free with her own team. She is not being paid by Trump, and never has been.
I hope there is someone with deep pockets backing her, because this is going to be a very long and expensive fight!
I’m realizing the picture isn’t showing in the post, and I can’t figure out how to edit the post, so here’s what the statement says:
“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”
– Rudy Giuliani, Attorney for President Trump, and Jenna Ellis, Trump Campaign Senior Legal Adviser and Attorney for President Trump
And this means they are distancing themselves?
I would just as soon see how this plays out.
No offense, I hope, but there is always an extravagant amount of speculation and gossip in politics.
Did you know, for instance, that Mitt Romney has those ageless looks because a strain of Vampirism runs though his family? And Satan worship.
I know a guy who knows a girl who got paid for her child so Ann Romney could sacrifice it on a secret altar in the Utah Desert within site of Monument National Park.
Who knew?
And he hasn’t paid any taxes since 2002, either.
Don’t take my word for it, ask Harry Reid.
I find it odd that Mitt Romney went so far out of his way to actually pay SOME taxes on his income.
Did it impress the people he wanted to be impressed?
I may be wrong to think this, but those gestures feel a bit like Pandering, and the spirit behind them the same kind of Insecurity Nixon was afflicted with.
