Two conservative, Australian journalists, Avi Yemini and Sydney Watson, were detained by Customs and Border Protection after Comedy Central reported that they might have violent intentions directed at them. Ms Watson, a dual American/Australian citizen, was detained, questioned, and released. Mr. Yemini was detained, questioned, and deported on the strength of Comedy Central’s allegations.
Apparently, Mr Yemeni was traveling to the US to appear on the Dave Reuben Show and Louder With Crowder to discuss, among other things, the unfair characterization of him by Comedy Central host, Jim Jeffries. Ms Watson plans to continue with her itinerary.
