This episode of Steve Green’s Right Angle Lightning Round ambushes Bill Whittle and Scott Ott with breaking news, including…
- Venice Beach California, now dubbed Venice-zuela by locals, swarms with some 2,000 homeless (rivaled only by Skid Row). RV fires and other symptoms of a failed state sully the once beautiful seaside community.
- The Rolling Stones retire their classic ‘Brown Sugar’ from their concert playlist, after pressure from ‘woke’ critics who don’t even know what the lyrics mean.
- China tests a fractional orbital bombardment system that uses a hypersonic glide vehicle. Should we worry?
- Sen. Bill Cassidy backs cognitive tests for older lawmakers, presidents and Supreme Court justices. Why should these tests be limited to “older” politicians.
- ESPN’s sideline reporter Allison Williams quits rather than comply with COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Williams is pregnant at what’s considered “advanced maternal age”, and followed her doctor’s advice regarding vaccination.

Mrs. Ron and I were returning from a wonderful weekend by a shoreline and Brown Sugar came on the streaming list I had. I had read the story last week and chuckled. Before I could explain, the lovely Mrs. Ron says “I have no idea what words he is actually saying, and I have probably heard this song 500 times.”
I then explained the gist of the song and article. She sounded like Scott – said it still had a good beat and rhythm. If it condemns slavery why do we need to get rid of it?
Oh, I had a 70s playlist going and she had similar complaints wrt Springsteen, Petty, even Heart among others. There was a Linda Ronstadt song that came on which if you didn’t know the lyrics, you still didn’t/
Maybe we should have our hearing checked?
Fortunately, I am already a member, but! I have never seen the Big Green Button above… Am I blind, or are all my computers deficient?
John – you must have your devices always keep you logged in to BWdotCom (3 cheers for you!) If you were not logged in and got to the website, you would see as below.

Cognitive testing. Yes! Take my reps and senators first. Please! They are all leftist fools.
Nice little Bruce Lee gesture at the beginning, Scott.
I was thinking Neo from The Matrix, but I’ll take that.
Scott~ I think Bill was trying to say that the Ethnic food in restaurants in the U.S. is made with better ingredients to his point of sub par industry standands in China.
Venice Beach and the rest of the Soviet Socialist Repooblik Of Kalifornia are getting exactly what they deserve, in direct incremental proportion to their policies. The bluest implode first, the rest ignore the lesson, and on up the chain of idiocracy it goes. Parts of Northern and rural Kalifornia will be the last to go because they are the least blue.
That won’t save them though, they’ll get sucked down in the maelstrom of socialist American Leftism that the whole state is embracing like an adder to its bosom. “Oh beautiful and amazing snake, why do you bite me?”
Keith Richards will never die, he’s already embalmed himself. If he were to die no one could tell the difference. Mick Jagger only needs fluids every couple weeks because his lips serve the same function as a camel’s hump does for camels.
China’s “hypersonic” weapon is nothing new. We have had the concept for years and we should pursue it as a weapons system. It’s called “Project Thor” and affectionately referred to as “Rods from God”. The difference is we can actually hit targets with precision and our Project Thor concept doesn’t need a thermonuclear device to make it effective. So it can be used without escalating to nuclear war and keeps a lot more options open.
That said, while China works on dropping something from orbit at hypersonic speed the US and our allies are working on a real hypersonic missile that is atmospheric and not an orbital/sub orbital system. As such it cannot be detected when inbound until it’s too late to do anything about it. Whereas we can see the Chinese launch (which is conventional as any other ICBM launch) and have time to call them up and say “If you drop that thing out of orbit we’re going to turn you into the world’s biggest parking lot. We don’t care if you hit what you’re aiming at or not, the result will be massive thermonuclear retaliation either way.”
This of course assumes that the American leadership actually has the will to not only make the threat but to carry it out. The Chinese need to be certain such a threat is not hollow.
I’m pretty sure that there isn’t a leader of any country on the planet today that is afraid of our current Administration and Congress.
… and that is a very serious problem.
One that I’m sure is completely discounted and minimalized in its gravity by the types who would be terrified of “cis-gender” HVAC repairmen invading their Trans safe space dorm just to fix the radiators.
It’s terrifying that people are getting their priorities so backwards. Even people like that.
One of my advisors in Grad school was working on hypsersonic flight. He brought in lots of $$ to the university for it, that’s why he was department head. This was more than 30 years ago and we had a hypersonic wind tunnel as his own personal toy. And many of the weapons systems being considered were inertia weapons. A large mass traveling at speeds too high to fathom striking a building (or even the earth) causes a lot of trauma while undergoing rapid deceleration.
If China is this far, I wonder how far we really are? Haven’t needed to keep up in a long time. But I daresay we are quite a bit ahead.
Oh, and anyone who says they can comprehend speed > 1 mile per sec is either lying or just kidding themselves. Just like regular people can’t feel 1 Billion in scope much less 1 Trillion. We are not really designed to feel those sizes from a cognitive standpoint.
The lyrics may have to pass the wokeness test, but soon the music will cause micro-aggressions.

Bill, in regard to your comments on China’s appearance quest, I agree but wanted to take the opportunity to remind all of the reelection campaign of Bill Clinton that received a large contribution from Chinese Buddhists around the same time that his state department lifted an export ban that resulted in Loral intercontinental ballistic missile technology being sold to the CCP. A deep dive turns up many, not necessarily Clinton related, tech transfers and penalties with Hughes, Lockheed, Boeing and more: https://www.everycrsreport.com/reports/98-485.html
Thank you for what you all do for getting the truth out.

Scott, Panda Express is Chinese food like Taco Bell is Mexican food.
That’s what I’m saying about the vanilla pudding on the Happy China Moon buffet…Authentic!
