An excellent show, right on the target. It seems this has been going on ever since the 60s. The only real defense that seems to work against it is to ignore the racist insult the homophobic insults or whatever other insults they throw at you and just say no you’re wrong. Only by doing this can you break down their shield. .Of course I am always open to other opinions and would be glad to hear them.
Was talking to a college student the other day and he didn’t know the difference between The Marx Brothers and Karl Marx…
Duck Soup Indeed…
Administrative changes to Illinois teaching standards that will be voted on this month read, in part:
“Section 24.50 The Illinois Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards
“a) Self-Awareness and Relationships to Others – The culturally responsive teacher and leader will:
“1) Understand and value the notion that multiple lived experiences exist, that there is not one “correct” way of doing or understanding something, and that what is seen as “correct” is most often based on our lived experiences;
“10) Assess how their biases and perceptions affect their teaching practice and how they access tools to mitigate their own behavior (racism, sexism, homophobia, unearned privilege, Eurocentrism, etc.).
“b) Systems of Oppression – Culturally responsive teachers and leaders understand that there are systems in our society that create and reinforce inequities, thereby creating oppressive conditions. The culturally responsive teacher and leader will:
“4) Know and understand how current curriculum and approaches to teaching impact students who are not a part of the dominant culture.
“5) Be aware of the effects of power and privilege and the need for social advocacy and social action to better empower diverse students and communities.
“7) Know and understand how a system of inequity reinforces certain truths as the norm.
“e) Leveraging Student Activism – The culturally responsive teacher and leader will:
“5) Create a risk-taking space that promotes student activism and advocacy.
“6) Research and offer student advocacy and activism content with real world implications.
“g) Content Selections in All Curricula – The culturally responsive teacher and leader will:
“5) Embrace and encourage progressive viewpoints and perspectives that leverage asset thinking toward traditionally marginalized populations.
“9) Ensure teacher and students co-create content to include a counternarrative to dominant culture.”

I have just finished contacting the Illinois State Board of Education as well as the members of the committee voting on this amendment, urging them as follows:
“Please vote NO on the “Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards.” How could you doom Illinois children to the envy, rancor, hatred, and dependency of this cultural Marxism? In part the amendment proposes that: “there is not one “correct” way of doing or understanding something…” Seriously?!? Is that what you teach your children and grandchildren? That “Thou Shalt Not Steal” is not the “correct” way? If you vote for these changes, you must, for you will be robbing Illinois children of lifetimes of secure satisfaction that this Marxist brainwashing denies them. For shame.”
Real victims of crimes are given little attention since only designated social justice victims matter to the woke.
It makes me admire all the more members of minorities who do not resort to these tactics, who exude self-confidence, not resentment. If a person wants to achieve a goal, he or she should work for it and hope for the best.

Thank you for this one — right over the target, as usual. We’ve endured a century of this deliberate rot, that surfaces time and again under new pretexts and wearing new disguises, but always with the same destructive motives driven by a narcissistic demand to be in charge. It’s long past time to reject the toxic nonsense of Critical Theory and the Frankfurt School, but I suspect it will eat its own before they realize how duped they’ve been. I just happened upon this PragerU video where Jordan Peterson addresses the effects on education in a very concise and well-focused 5 minutes. I’ll be sharing both.
This timeless quote from Bill’s April 2003 essay, Victory, comes to mind:
Same as it ever was.
The birth of the Frankfurt school and how we got to here sounds like it could be a good topic for the next multipart series Bill does for Esoteric Radio Theatre.
I’m old enough to remember when we taught things like math, reading, and science. How soon until America splits and we Normals can have our own public education system?
Nobody does it better than Bill Whittle! The brilliance of squishing 100 years of history (critical theory) into a 17-minute video is amazing. I made my 25-year-old daughter watch it so she can understand what is happening now and why.
Further, the greater number of victim groups one can belong to is better than representing only one group.
