I’ve been very busy the last three months preparing to retire from one of our National Laboratories, and hadn’t been checking my personal e-mail very closely. I was one of the first to sign up and pay for the May Strato-Cruise, and was disappointed when it was postponed to December, but not upset. I thought I had eight months to straighten everything out before the cruise.
Now that I’ve retired, I went to check on the details and found that my reservation has been cancelled, and that I would not get a refund. It turns out that back in June, the cruise line refunded $90 for port fees and gratuities. I missed the message saying that those fees needed to be repaid, and they cancelled the reservation and kept the $1,600 I paid.
Anyone who signed up for and paid for the cruise should verify that the reservation is still in effect. Needless to say, I will NOT be signing up again when BW.C re-announces the upcoming cruise. And Travel by Parker was absolutely no help whatsoever; I will never have anything to do with them again.

RR, I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying, and I invite you to use the Contact link above to send me a note. In the meantime, I’m reaching out to the cruise company to get a better understanding of what’s going on. I’m sorry for any distress this may have caused.
