Weekly Rant 03-22-20

   The big news this week – and for the foreseeable future – is still the 800 lb. Panda in the room – the FluManChu. I don’t know about you, but I’ve washed my hands so many times I’m starting to see my 8th grade History notes. And don’t get me started on my vanishing 401(k) because I’m not supposed to touch my face to wipe away the tears.
   Here in the People’s Republic of NY we’re under lock-down over the Egg Flu Young, meaning both my wife and I are working from home – but I’m not complaining. She hasn’t killed me (yet), and I recognize how blessed we are to – for now at least – both still have our jobs. There are plenty of folks out there who are not so fortunate and are really starting to hurt now. It’s going to get A LOT worse before it gets better, so let’s all do what we can to help our friends & neighbors in their time of need.
   While things are starting to look pretty grim, over the last few days we’ve also seen some reasons for optimism. Polls are showing the American public is rejecting the Dem-Media-Complex’s treasonous parroting of ChiComm propaganda. Their pathetic attempts at branding Trump a Raaaacist! for being mean to China and inept over his handling of the General Tso’s Sicken, are failing in the face of his daily press briefings which have been a masterful display of facts, competence & hope. Hell must be freezing over because he’s actually getting praise from the crazy Lib governors of CA and NY. When even Incest Omar says he’s doing a good job, you know this over-hyped DemPanic over the Wuhan Bat Plague isn’t going the way they hoped. On a positive note, Kung Pao Sicken seems to be taking out a tenth of Iran’s aging mullahs, which is certainly a good start.
   Hopefully this social distancing #Flattenthecurve thing will buy us enough time for some of the very promising treatments for the Wuhan Flu to kick in and change its trajectory. Now that they’ve identified “Patient Zero”, the source of Wubonic Plague, things are starting to look up. Remember, our parents sacrificed everything and went to war to save the free world from Fascism. We’re being asked to sit on the couch and watch Netflix. We got this!
   In election news this week, PDJT officially locked up the GOP nomination and Joementia crushed Bolshevik Bernie in FL, IL & AZ, destroying any path to victory the old-aSS Commie may have had, but so far he hasn’t quit. While Comrade Sanders is probably just hanging on until Quid Pro Joe pays him off with some of zero qualification Hunter’s Burisma cash, here’s hoping he has the stones to take his “revolution” third party. Also, Tulsi Gabbard threw in the towel and endorsed decrepit Joe, so that’s 4 more votes he can count on: hers, her parents and Tucker Carlson. Meanwhile, presumptive nominee Sniffy Joe announced his runningmate will be a woman, and that no matter who he names, he promises to stand behind her at all times.
   Lastly, the final accounting is in for Min-Mike’s diminutive campaign and it cost Frodo Moneybags nearly double previous estimates. It seems Nanny Big-Gulp spent nearly a billion dollars just to find out nobody likes him. Silly Doomberg, as a New Yorker I could have told you that for half that amount! And if you’re looking for a silver lining in the current Wall St carnage, at least you can feel better knowing  it cost  the itty bitty candidate over $20B. Guess he never read the Art of the Deal!
