I want to put this out there:
With all of the jubilation or sadness please remember EVERYONE in this country (barring very small fringes) wants one thing: We want to make The United States of America the greatest nation on the planet.
We all have different ideas on how to achieve it, or even what that looks like, but we all are unified in that goal. Riots, division, violence, rhetoric… These take us further away from that goal. Please keep that in mind while speaking or dealing with someone of a differing political opinion than yourself.
It is like traveling from Los Angeles to New York; There are MANY very different roads to take that can accomplish the trip. Just because you want to drive through the north and I want to drive through the south doesn’t make either of our pathways wrong, just different. You may want to see the Great Lakes, I may want to see the Mighty Mississippi Delta. Both paths have good and bad aspects.
Again, please remember this when talking to “the other side”.
That is all. As you were.

I would venture that a significant part of the population does not even stop to consider it.
I don’t think President Obama wanted America to be great. He went out of his way to lead from behind, apologize to othe heads of state, and stop our energy and industry efforts while promoting the efforts of third world nations that pollute like crazy. Didn’t he want us to be the weakest country on the planet?
One can certainly make a point for that. That is why I said we may differ on even what that looks like. Just playing devil’s advocate, maybe his vision of a great America is one that does not lead the world. Greatness is very subjective.
Love.
Thank you, Scott!
