I lost multiple members of my family to the horror of the Nazi terror…. I’m telling you now that this administration is the North American wing of the same psychopathic ideology that consumed Europe in the 1930’s and 1940’s… they were defeated then but the ideology survived. I understand that you may not be capable of seeing the repercussions of what is being promulgated at this time, but should you live long enough, you will see the same horrors revisit us. All of the earmarks are present, and it is unfolding faster than I could possibly have imagined… I am heading up country hopefully far enough that I will pass before it finds me… It is not necessary for you to disparage me or attempt to convince me otherwise… all that I would ask of you is that you remember my words… and GOD help all of us and preserve us from the shit storm that is coming.

No hyperbole, proof in this instance that the county executives you choose can make the difference between life and death. Salute the heroes when you find them. Take heart in recognizing that the Rennsalaer County Board suffered no consequences for refusing to obey an illegal and immoral executive order.

As a medical professional, I just want to say I could slap the shit out of the idiot who came up with the 2-3-4 mask narrative. They could have explained the idea better simply be comparing masks to toilet paper. Thin cheap single ply TP is less effective than better quality double or Triple Ply. If you use single ply paper on your booty you always layer it up, but you don’t need to if you get better quality.
The issue isn’t the number of masks, but simply that there are a lot of ineffective and cheap masks on the market that do a poor job of reducing air born spread/droplets.
Don’t forget this WuFlu is not an issue for the vast majority of people. Protect the vulnerable and leave the rest of us the hell alone is the best approach.

Here in NY the only news on this failure by Cuomo comes from some Democrats who are looking to become governor when Cuomo throws his hat into the ring starting in 2022. They can’t afford to alienate him, however. The current thrust is to investigate and prosecute the nursing homes and bring charges of negligence which are easy to prove. It is like the old adage of show me the man and I will show you the crime. The decisions by Amazon are business only: certain guarantees likely offered as protection as long as the money flows. Remember that big business in Germany in the thirties thought they could control Hitler. Wall Street and other businesses like Amazon will side with their political supporters regardless of the little guy. The short term solution for conservatives will be taking back the House but the Left can do much to derail the election process just as there is emphasis on domestic terrorism, an excuse to shut off dissent. All will be very “legal”. The Constitution doesn’t protect political organizations. Obama showed how to close them. Additionally individuals can be targeted through the office on Civil Rights which can redefine hate speech at its pleasure. Hopefully we will find out who cares, but personally I am not optimistic when I hear very intelligent and knowledgeable people continue to focus on Trump and White Supremacy as the greatest threats to the country.
With any luck, our Governator will meet the same fate as his grinning California counterpart…..but I’m not too optimistic about that.
