This is how many of us feeling about the PM just at the moment…
Not to mention the Green New Industrial Deal Revolution thingy…

I have noticed since about February that Boris is reluctant to go against China in any shape or form, and therefore I wonder whether the CCP have some substantial compromising material on him.
Perhaps from his visit when the London Mayor, & he was lavishly entertained…
I understand from investigative journalists who have been in China that this ‘monitored entertainment’ is standard practice.
It was only strong pressure from Trump’s administration that forced Boris to eventually U-turn on the Huawai infrastructure.
I forget where I heard or read this story because it was a long time ago (maybe not that long but I feel like the guy in line at the supermarket checkout behind the person counting out what they owe in pennies and nickels and the person who has 12 items in the 10 items or less line and has a long history of arguing their case with the person at the cash register and the assistant manager and the store manager).
A guy meets a lady at a party who can play the piano with her feet.
He goes out with her.
And discovers the only thing she can do that is not annoying is playing the piano with her feet.
Boris, playing t being Churchill’s Heir, quoting the Iliad from memory, is that lady. Friends from university will not speak to him anymore.
He is an Erudite John McCain. Only a lack of private moral standards prevent him from being Mitt Romney with crazy hair.
Conservatives everywhere, not least in the UK should learn a lesson from who they thought he was and what he has become.
Can you imagine him coming up in the ranks when Maggie Thatcher was around?
lol, good point.
Yeah, I’ve been feeling Boris hasn’t been himself (or what he used to claim to be…) ever since he caught covid and ended up in your British health care system.
Has he gotten soft (er, weak) on you all?
There have long been doubts about him. He is Eton/Oxford, old school Establishment to his bootstraps. That said, he has long shown a certain offbeat character that made him seem believable as a change from the concensus. It is possible he started out genuine but the longer he’s in No. 10 the longer the civil service have to work on him…
He’s a politician first and foremost. The only one I’ve ever seen in the “free” election-holding world who isn’t is Trump.
