Yes, the National Anthem. I live in a town that’s almost sole reason for existing is because of the Navy base it supports. Every morning at 8am pronto the base plays (and we can hear in town… if we’re awake… I’m retired, so I wake up when I want to!) the National Anthem to raise the American flag at the Admin building on base (where the Admiral would work when he’s here). Then, at dusk, we get some other bugle-type song (which I don’t recognize) to take down the flag. I love it, them, both! In school, growing up, we used to recite the Pledge of Allegiance every morning. This inspires in children the love of country, as does the National Anthem and the American flag. Marxists, you know, hate our country. They also hate Britain and other countries which aren’t already communist. They’re trying to make our youngest generation hate our country (and by deduction, themselves too). They won’t win. I know the turmoil that is currently happening disheartens us, but we have to know, we have to hope that it is only temporary. As Bill always says, you have to mow the grass, but the grass grows back up and then you have to mow it again. This will happen again and again. But they won’t win. There are enough of us true Americans that won’t let it happen.

Sorry for the tag line without my comments. I have never participated in this digital public forum before. What I am referring to is the National Anthem. Already professional sports are getting ready for players kneeling for our national anthem when play resumes. Americans! This is the time to link arms and celebrate our history and unity. This is the ONE moment that should united us not divide us. This is the one moment of music that celebrates our freedom and national legacy winning if face of the enormous odds against us. THIS is the moment of opportunity to start to unite and focus us on solutions. Please don’t squander this valuable moment of music and lyrics that should weld us together in brotherhood that will overcome all we face as a united nation. Join arms, and sing of our hollowed heritage of freedom against tyranny. If you want to take a knee, let it me in humble prayer for our path forward. Am i the only one who sees this? And if so, where have i gone wrong?
