Weapons elevator is one of those things that is obviously necessary when you stop and think about it, but nothing I would’ve come up with if you asked me to list vital systems for an aircraft carrier off the top of my head.

This is one of the most risky and safety critical jobs in the navy. Your in the Ammo store almost all of the time and if they hit the ammo store you are gone. However if you can get it right each time, every time the enemy is in deep trouble. When you get it right your defining the rate of fire for the air fleet and defensive guns and missiles. Good doco.
The whole series is very interesting–I’m glad to finally have somewhere to share it.
