Shortly after his Twitter account got re-activated, Kanye ‘Ye’ West tweeted a swastika/Star of David image, and Elon Musk booted him off again. Is that the right way to deal with bigotry and anti-Semitism? Is Musk reducing the volume of hateful ideas by squelching this influential figure, or would it be more useful to allow fringe ideas free rein so that we know who the bigots are and can challenge their despicable speech in public?

Bill, could you PLEASE get yourself a different mic, or make use of different setting, so that you are as clear as both Scott and Steve, instead of murky, tinny, hollow and difficult to hear clearly!
I wonder if any of you have read Andrew Torba’s (Gab) editorial on Kanye.

Personally, I don’t think Kanye is sincere. He’s a provocateur. He’s mentally ill (Bi-Polar and off his meds) and his choices in life – Kim Kardashian, his over-the-top brief foray into religion, now this stuff with Trump and Alex Jones, and his association with Milo and Fuentes, both of whom are attention seekers who use provocation to get it, indicate he isn’t a voice for the good.
Trump isn’t showing much indication that he’s improved his judgement about the people he allows into his personal and political domain. Nor are the people who are supposed to be managing access to him doing their job.
Honestly, the whole thing is mystifying. Maybe God does have something to do with it. Otherwise my only choice is to admit the road to bat 💩crazy is well travelled.
Kanye West is not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree and he never has been. The man has a talent for the kind of ‘music’ I would never listen to and that’s the end of his skill set.
He’s a stupid person and he has always done stupid things. That he continues to do stupid things is not in any way surprising, or interesting. I don’t think he’s ‘having a breakdown’ or otherwise recently destabilized because he has always acted the way he’s now making media headlines over. The biggest reason he’s making media headlines is not the stupid things he says and does, he’s always said and done stupid things. The reason he’s making headlines is that Donald Trump continues to associate with him.
It’s a mistake to associate with people like Kanye West. He’s a loose cannon on the gun deck and is as prone to be destructive to friendlies as he is to unfriendlies. A miasma follows him around and that stink attaches itself to anyone in his proximity. The Left loves this miasma because it plays perfectly into their narrative. They are in a position to ignore anything detrimental to their narrative and trumpet anything that supports their narrative by virtue of their control over the Main Stream Media.
If a relatively obscure nobody like me knows this, those more important and more powerful than me who move in more public circles should know this even better.
I understand that the point of Musk’s and Cook’s agreement that was only lightly spoken (per an Epoch Times article about it), was that Musk could build and market his own phone system, so he wouldn’t need to be on anyone else’s app store.

While I’m sure there are aspects of Elon’s character I might not endorse, I have to say I’m a HUGE fan. He has his middle finger up at anything he dislikes, but with a grin, not a scowl. He isn’t angry, which is so refreshing, and he isn’t intimidated, which is extremely refreshing.
Steve’s 100% on point with his observation that today’s music culture is largely garbage, and it’s incredibly revealing just how far the culture is in the crapper when completely ignorant “musicians” such as West make the money they do. I don’t blame him for generating his garbage — it’s his garbage and it stinks just like the trash can I put out on the street every Tuesday. If people like smelling his garbage, that’s on them. He’s free to generate as much garbage as he can.
Speaking of West, if we’re advocating free speech, we can’t have it both ways. As disgusting and vile as West’s anti-Semitic garbage is, it’s his garbage and if he wants to flaunt it, that’s his business. I have a delete key and I know how to use it and woe to the Karens who can’t find theirs. Free speech doesn’t mean advocating criminal activity, however. That’s the line in the sand.
