We all dispise youtube for one reason or another, or multiple reasons, but….
Where else can you go and quickly pull up Johnny Mathis’s classic Christmas Album?
I’m 62 years old, and I swear that for the first 15 of those years, I can recall my dear mother playing that album every day, from about Dec 7 to Christmas day, every year. There are many ingredients to Chrismas, but for me, my family and for my late mom and dad….it’s not Christmas time without this album playing. His version of Oh Holy Night is one of the best.

Yep, that particular Johnny Mathis album brings to my mind former Christmas’ and my mother’s love of his angelic voice.
Yup. As a kid or teenager I never appreciated Johnny Mathis or my Mom’s other favorite Andy Williams. As a now very much adult, I realize that they both had amazing talent in vocals and as performers that we can still hear today. Captured in a recording studio almost 60 years ago, yet we can still hear them as if they were standing in our living rooms.
Reminds me of Bill’s “Afterburner” where he compared the Ancient Pyramids to today’s 7/11. We live in amazing times.
The thing about YouTube is as you say it’s ubiquitous and has a huge repository of all the things you might want but … It’s also where the vast unwashed masses of heathen Leftists and their victims live.
Preaching to the choir is fine. The choir needs motivation and inspiration. The choir lives on Rumble and the other non-YouTube places at the edges of the web.
Like it or not, agree with it or not, YouTube is not at the edges of the web. It’s right in the center where the people we need to reach are.
In the spirit of the season I would like to appeal to all of our brother and sister Conservatives. Do not retreat into an echo chamber. Echo chambers are comfortable but deadly. As Leftism in America implodes it is more vital now than ever before to grapple with evil and if that evil be found on YouTube, so be it.
