You Killed Us, You Arrogant Ass!

In the movie The Hunt for Red October there was a scene that for me provided what I hope is divine insight (probably not, but work with me here).

In the movie the officers of the Soviet Typhoon class ballistic missile submarine Red October are attempting to defect to the US. The Soviets on the other hand are desperately trying to hunt down and destroy the Red October to prevent this defection. In one exciting scene a Soviet Alfa fast attack submarine locates the Red October and attempts to launch a torpedo attack to sink her and it is in this exchange where I see a parallel with our last two elections and what I hope is insight into the future. First let me lay out the scene in the movie…

The action starts when the Soviet Alfa suddenly is detected on sonar followed quickly by a torpedo being launch by the Alfa against the Red October. The captain of the Red October decides the best way to defend against this attack is to change course and steam at flank speed straight towards the incoming torpedo. This decision by the Captain baffles everyone in the con of the Red October, but as it turned out it was the right decision because when the torpedo struck the Red October it did not detonate. Why? Because the weapon had preset “safeties” so that it would not arm until it was X yards away from where it originated, in this case the Alfa. Captain Ramius of the Red October knew this and used it to his advantage. However, his now foe, Capt. Tupolev of the Alfa was furious that Capt. Ramius outwitted him.

After the initial torpedo failed CIA analyst Professor Ryan who was on the Red October, exclaimed “So that’s it?!” Capt. Ramius knew better and answered “Not quite. Right now Tupolev is removing the safety features on all his weapons. He won’t make the same mistake twice.” And sure enough Capt. Tupolev, to the many objections of his Executive Officer, launched a second torpedo with all safeties turned off. After some amazing submarine maneuvers the end result of this scene was that the second torpedo which was meant to kill the Red October instead ended up destroying the Alfa… and just before it did the XO on the Alfa turned to his CO, Capt. Tupolev, and said “You killed us, you arrogant ass!”

Now to the last two elections.

In 2016 Hillary Clinton was preordained to be the next President of the US by the corrupt media and other elites. When Donald Trump began talking about running for president the media started to drool at the potential for a land slide victory for Hillary if she were to run against Trump. You may remember the now famous clip of late-night talk show host Jamie Oliver exclaiming “Do it! Do It!” When Trump announced his candidacy the media began doing what they do so well, hypnotizing the American electorate, or so they thought. During the primaries they played hard ball with all the other candidates except Trump. I am sure behind the scenes they gloated at how easy it was to steer the opposition into believing Trump was the right candidate. They were ecstatic when Trump became the Republican candidate and right up to election night were convinced Hillary would be the next president; slam dunk, no problem. Then came election night 2016 and the rest is history.

This is the equivalent of the first torpedo launch in the movie. It was launched with all safeties in place because the entire media, all of Hollywood, all the liberal elites, and 99.99% of Democrats knew they were going kill Trump that night. There was no need for coordinated voter fraud in 2016, why would there be? But some amazing maneuvers by Trump and his campaign outsmarted the Democrats and they knew they were outsmarted because they abandoned their tried and true election strategy of cheating when and where they could and instead they were fooled into just leaving it to the American people to decide. They could not imagine the American people would be so stupid! And the Democrats did not take kindly to it. So what did they do? They decided that over the next four years all the way to the 2020 election they would remove all safety features and attack like never before.

We witnessed four years of constant antagonism, lies, attacks, impeachment, hiding the truth, burying news, disseminating falsehoods… constantly! All with the aid and support of the media and big tech. And the final lock was by corrupting our election.

The question now is, is this torpedo still in water? Did it really find it’s intended target? My fervent hope is that when all is said and done, whether Trump prevails in 2020 or not, by the next election something will happen so that when Democrats look back at what they did between 2016 and 2020, one of them will say “You killed us you arrogant ass!”

It’s time to work. Is your representative a Democrat? Start working to flip that seat. Is your representative a Republican? Then work to support that candidate or one better than him or her, and find the closest Democrat represented district and work to flip that seat. Take back the House in 2022. Same formula for the Senate. Then pray to God we have a viable candidate in 2024 and let’s change how this country approaches elections and dismantle big tech.
