YouTube demonetizes song about ‘Sad Little Man’ Fauci | Washington Examiner
YouTube demonetized a song critical of Dr. Anthony Fauci that alleged the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is lying about the pandemic.
“Sad Little Man” by Five Times August says Fauci, who is “dead in his soul,” has deceived the United States to garner public attention.
Portrayed as a snake oil salesman and charlatan and adorned in clown shoes and a crown, the song rips Fauci for his supposed relentless flip-flopping and downplaying of science, framing him as a man who has tricked the public into worshiping him like a god.
Despite never mentioning the coronavirus by name, the video was demonetized by YouTube for “containing medical misinformation,” Five Times August tweeted.
“Sorry for any confusion — the video is ineligible for full monetization due to the content (which includes metadata) containing Medical Misinformation,” @TeamYoutube tweeted. “Medical Misinfo is a policy that’s part of Dangerous and Harmful acts. Hope this helps clarify!”
YouTube has targeted Five Times August before, songwriter Brad Skistimas said .
This time was different, and “Sad Little Man” was entirely removed before it was reinstated, Skistimas said.
“Just as the video was reaching peak traffic I started receiving user comments about how difficult the video was to find and that it was not appearing in search results,” he claimed.
“It wasn’t until I called YouTube out publicly on Twitter did the original upload magically appear back in search results but Google/YouTube never explained or gave reason to any of this and who knows how many views and potential subscribers I lost due to this,” he said.

That was great and a perfect example of what Bill means when he says “using the pop culture against them”.
Of course YouTube, Twitter et. al. know this is an Achilles heel for them and do what they can to counter it. Demonetizing and shadow banning being their favorite tools.
I would never have heard of this video, thanks for posting it.
The article rating button doesn’t appear to be working, btw. I would have given this one 5 stars if I could.
Thanks anyway! It’s the thought that counts.
I am sure you noticed I can be an outside of the box poster. Oh, wait, perhaps BOX was toooooo simplistic. How about Quadrilateral Parallelogram?
You’re welcome. Cubed not squared … 😉
Yeah, you say some things I don’t agree with and when I don’t agree with them enough I say so. That doesn’t mean we have to be antagonists.
You can say what you like, and so can I. We can both and each be held to account for what we say too. Freedom of Speech doesn’t mean freedom from criticism. Criticism is speech too.
That’s a good thing even though there are people in here that are antagonistic towards me about that and call me names when I point things out that they don’t want too closely scrutinized.
Be well, Linda, and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Someone whose judgment I trust contends that Media Matters(Soros) has employees on about every single site to stir things up and of course, to push leftist swill.
When a person is a decade my senior and they believe that Abraham Lincoln was a Democrat and George Wallace was a Republican, it hits you smack in the face that the SRLs have been wonderfully successful in twisting history.
As it says in His Word, the truth shall set you free.
I don’t doubt the Soros thing is true, though I have no evidence of it I wouldn’t be at all surprised if some turned up. This is a war of ideas, or the suppression thereof. That there are interlopers in all “our” conservative sites is something I just take as a given and … I’m not particularly prone to paranoia.
One thing we need to bear in mind about that, and bear in mind foremost, is that they’re not only here to stir things up and push Leftist mush-brained nonsense. They’re here to “catch” us doing things they can use against us or insert things they can damage us with too.
I see that as the greater threat. We can detect agents provocateur from what they say and we all know the Leftist narrative well enough to recognize it when we see it. If they’re just sitting there quietly, not commenting and not interacting with anyone but taking screenshots of damaging posts … That’s ammunition they can use directly against the Conservative ideology.
I.E. If someone posts patently absurd wholly debunked preposterous conspiracy theory manure, that is something they can use to point to us and say “Look what a bunch of dipsticks and idiots Conservatives are.” We need to be mindful not to clown ourselves to their advantage and great glee.
Far, far worse yet are outright calls to violence and death. I’ve seen a few of those sorts of things posted in here too. That kind of thing plays directly into the hands of the Left. If someone wants to give them reasons to take our guns and freedoms away, that’s a very good way to go about it.
Then they can point to us not as nuts and whackos but as dangerous threats. Nuts and whackos we can deal with or disavow. Dangerous threats are another matter entirely, no matter how angry someone might be that’s a very stupid thing to say on public forums of any sort.
It’s also illegal and giving someone legal grounds to come after Bill & Co. is, well, despicable no matter how high someone’s dudgeon might be running.
My first thought when I’ve seen that sort of thing is to ask them politely to refrain from doing that and remove those posts of their own volition. Which I go to (as usual for me) great lengths to explain my reasons for.
If that doesn’t work, then other measures are called for.
Because some of those people just might be Soros funded operatives trying to bring down this site.
I’m no stranger to the principles of psyops. That is most certainly psyop fodder whether it’s a member who forgot himself or an interloper trying to take the site down. The end result is the same either way.
This is a fight. A very real fight. For my part I welcome any who want to fight against the encroachment to our liberties with me, and you.
It’s just that some of us know or have more experience in fighting than others might. It’s a good idea to just listen to that kind of thing with an open mind and judge it on its merit. Not just dismiss it out of hand because someone is upset about something and it doesn’t fit neatly into a confirmation bias pigeonhole.
Just to be clear, I’m not speaking obliquely to anything you’ve said. The last time this came up it was a person who said …
“They’ve killed ____ so we should start killing _____ back.”
That’s the kind of thing that can and will lose us our happy home here on what is arguably now the best available Conservative site on the internet. This is the ONLY politically oriented site on all of the world wide web I hold in high enough esteem to actually pay money to belong to.
It’s up to us to keep it real and while we can’t keep them out, at least speak out against the actual kooks and fomenters of violence. You never know for sure what side their on.
When something goes to far extremes that’s a warning flag underneath a big red flare that says “Caution! You may not be dealing with who and what you think you are!!!
Because all extremes are bad. Far enough down any road is a cataclysm. It’s better to stop well short of the road’s end and build your home there. Any political extreme taken as far as it can go ends up in totalitarianism. That’s why our Founding Fathers tried to limit Government. They knew that while genuinely evil people are a grave and constant danger, the biggest threat is those who do evil believing they are doing good.
As C.S. Lewis put it …
“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be “cured” against one’s will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.”
Which is as good a description of the narrative promoted by the American Left as any I’ve ever seen but the Left are not the only moral busybodies humanity has to worry about.
Applying all of this gets me called names in here too, so don’t feel too special when someone dumps on you for what you say. Just because someone calls himself a Conservative doesn’t mean he really knows what that is, or is willing to listen when that meaning is pointed out to him.
HAH!
Love the clown shoes.
