Bummer, I think I’ll pass on the oatmeal now.

I read that this morning, why am I not surprised., and I agree to the grow your own food, hunt, gather, then dehydrate, smoke, can, pickle, and if you can afford one (I can’t), freeze dry. I don’t have a freezer or a fridge, hence the reason I didn’t name them.

Some people think I’m “over reacting” and wasting my time. But, the good news is almost all don’t believe me anyway so I’m pressing on.

I’m amazed at how many rural people are ‘prepping” in all aspects of the word. We help and teach each other without judging. I’m not saying city people are not prepping, I just don’t know any that are.

I don’t know that I’d call myself a ‘prepper’, and I live in a smaller town as opposed to a large city, but I did learn basic canning techniques many moons ago. So if I come across a good deal at a farmer’s market, I get the jars out! I wish I had the room to grow some things, but I don’t.
